The hotel is very tired and requires an upgrade, evident with the wear and tear on room doors, the wall coverings on the levels where the rooms were and the carpets. The rooms, the lobby and the cafe were all presentable. The cafe staff were extremely welcoming but we did have to do without coffee a few mornings as the machine had broken. Also frustrating was the fact that we had to return several times to reception to activate the room access cards as they did not work on arrival at the room. We had booked two rooms and while the one my mum and I shared was comfortable, my sisters room was very noisy (she was at the end room on a corner). She thought that there was a door from her room to outside that had been locked but she could hear the traffic, dogs fighting which meant she did not sleep very well. We did not make use of the pool or facilities as they were being renovated which had not been advised prior to our stay.
