We had a bit of trouble finding the place. There were two locations on Google Maps, and as we were walking on the road, essentially lost, a woman from the hotel found us on the street. I'm not sure how—maybe one of the tuk-tuk drivers we had initially tried to get to drive us to the hotel but who had mysteriously refused had called the hotel and told them there were three lost white people wandering up the road. In any case, the woman called a pickup truck that took us to the hotel, which was not where we expected it to be (like I said, two locations on Google Maps). It is NOT walking distance to the beach.
The grounds and room were cute and clean, but the "extra bed" we'd paid for was basically a mattress cover, and there were no extra blankets or towels laid out. The bathroom had no ventilation. Seemed like it was overpriced for what we got. The motorbikes for rent also seemed overpriced (300 baht per day), though we were able to haggle them down to 250 per bike per day for two bikes (so 1,000 baht total; personally I think 800 would have been more fair).
The first night (Friday), we were the only guests on the premises. The second night, the whole courtyard was packed with Thais, who I guess just came up for Saturday night. I don't think this place gets many foreign tourists, backpackers, etc., so just be aware of that when booking. But overall it's fine if you need a spot in a pinch.
