"Property is beautiful! Actually picture perfect, with a good breakfast, and great value for the price . The best part is your staying on a winery and you can even smell the grapes fermenting. A great experience! The town Certaldo is so cute , we had a car and explored all around. I really recommend Maestrini Auto for a car rental in town. Recommend this hotel we loved it. "

"Great stay just outside of Castellina in Chianti. The swimming pool is beyond beautiful, overlooking the mountains. The location is also convenient with a restaurant at end of the street and a quick drive to Castellina or Sienna. Onsite wine tasting was also fantastic and staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside in summer is lack of air conditioning in the apartments. Adding AC would make this place a 10/10 stay. Will definitely be returning for more vacations at Borgo. "

Our only criticism is that we we’re originally told the restaurant would be open the first night we were there and it wasn’t. Instead we got a “pizza party” this was fine except the cost was not presented to us prior. The pool was also closed early due to a wedding. "A relaxing place to stay! The grounds were beautiful and staff was great. I would say that having a car is important if you plan on using this as your home base to explore Tuscany. Breakfast was wonderful and the fact that this is adults only makes the property feel more tranquil than it would be otherwise."

"Podere Castallare is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we did not have a relaxing stay. Music was played at full volume directly into our bedroom from the bar from around 4pm - 11pm every day. It was so loud we could not spend time in our room. The air conditioner was broken and not fixed. We were treated rudley at dinner by the manager, which added to the tension in the atmosphere."

"My mum and I did a girls trip here and we LOVED our stay! Just the kind of quite wind-down that we needed after the hustle and bustle of Venice and Florence. This hotel is GORGEOUS!! The food at the restraurant was superb and the pool divine on the hot Tuscan days! Easy to get to and a quick 30mins from Florence made it a wonderful choice. We both can't wait to be back!!
