Great location and wonderful accommodations
We were two couples who met up for the weekend to enjoy the wineries and local hiking and good food. The location was perfect and the house was great for hanging out and cooking.

Great spot!
Great place. We didn’t spend much time there as we were in town for a family reunion held elsewhere. But this home was very comfy and nicely decorated. There’s even a Viking range!

Quaint home in great location
This home is super cute and was the perfect size for our three-person girlfriend stay. We love how the owners have retained the charm of this historic home while making it functional and fabulous. Its location provided easy and quick access to downtown Paso and was in a quiet and adorable neighborhood. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace added a charming, comfortable setting for wine and conversation.

Wonderful stay in Paso Robles
We enjoyed a quick weekend stay at the Poe House, it was perfect for our family of 4, there is plenty of room and the house is very well stocked with everything you need. It’s very charming, the kitchen is great, we loved the historical feel and well manicured garden. The proximity to town is great, and we appreciated being able to bring our fur baby, too! Would definitely return and highly recommend to others.

The house was perfect! So charming! Was perfect for our extended weekend stay. The backyard was maintained, however, it wasn’t fully enclosed, which made having dogs a little difficult (since deer walk around). Otherwise, would 100% stay again!

We loved this house so much, my extended family live in Paso and we needed a place to stay for the weekend while visiting from Hawaii. Everything was perfect, loved the coffee they left for us and the fact that all the kitchen equipment was in great shape. We will be back whenever we visit Paso Robles. Thank you!!

Quaint stay
We enjoyed our stay. Some electrical problems in beginning that were immediately taken care of by property managers. Fully stocked with appliances and dishes which were great because we ate many meals at the house. Beds comfy and white towels seemed new and extremely soft. Used the outside fire pit which worked well. Thank you for a very nice stay.

Beautiful house, really well appointed and finished. All the comforts needed. Great location. Plenty of room for two couples, could work for three couples. Hosts very thoughtful. First world problem:hot water wasn’t very hot for showers and didn’t last long enough. Thanks for a great stay!

Historic cottage. Exactly as advertised commercially managed properly. Guests are asked to run a load of towels and dishes before you leave. Great patio and back yard area. Street parking. Very responsive communication.

Lovely historic home in a quiet neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay at the Poe house this weekend. Very clean and spacious for 2-3 couples. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, updated bathrooms and beautiful grounds with spring flowers in bloom! We enjoyed the several sitting areas outside, and took a nice neighborhood stroll after breakfast. After a bit of wine tasting nearby, we walked to the town square for Art in the Park, and enjoyed some relaxation time at the Backyard on 13th as well. We look forward to coming back again!

House layout and bathroom sizes are strange/small. Also, fire pit kept going out and the propane tank was full. Something to do with the gas line. Also, sprinklers come on too early and we got wet. A sprinkler head in the back is broken and shot water straight up for a long time. Suggest fixing that as it is a huge waste of water.

Comfy, cozy house that is well appointed – would definitely rent again!
We saw this house on Vrbo, and saw how many positive reviews it had, and just went on the rating and we were not disappointed. The only negatives we have to offer our the fact that, since it is an old house with single pane windows, it was chilly. But they had this really lovely gas-fired fireplace that we kept on pretty much the whole weekend that warmed the place right up! I do wonder if we stayed there in the summer how different it would be trying to keep the place cool... we are going to note that because we are card players. We love the fact that the dining room table has this “card table top” that made playing games fantastic! We will definitely rent this place the next time we come down to Paso Robles!

March 2022 Stay
This was the perfect spot to meet up with our friends from Los Angeles. Between their two kiddos and our baby, the house was the perfect size for us and within walking distance of so many great spots to eat, wine taste, and relax downtown. It was really nice to be able to get out and about without worrying about driving everywhere. It was also easy driving distance to our favorite wineries for the times we did decide to venture out further. We also liked that we could grill and eat outside in the cozy backyard. Property management was friendly and communicative as well. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future!

Clean and comfortable historic home with all the amenities for a short stay. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the backyard for outdoor BBQ and dining. We didn't watch TV; however, the Living room had only enough seating for three people. We did most of our conversing in the Dining room and backyard dining table. The instructions for the thermostat when leaving the premises was conflicting. One set of instructions said to increase to 85 degrees, another said to turn off the thermostat.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful. The yard was stunning, so was the side deck which is the first picture you see.The towels were dingy. The shared shower is unfinished and two open nozzles spray water at your face in such a way at such a velocity it is impossible to turn on and not get the whole bathroom wet. so be prepared to be sprayed completely with cold water. We ended up sharing the master bath shower across 3 of us and would not recommend it again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My two friends and I met in Paso this past weekend. Overall, we had a fantastic experience dining in Downtown Paso's many wonderful restaurants and enjoyed ourselves immensely having picked out several good wineries to visit. However, our rental was definitely found wanting. The house is quaint and in a fairly quiet neighborhood just 1/2 mile from the downtown city park area so location was a definite plus. It is a historic home according to the plaque at the front door so that added to the overall charm. The problem is that the photos on the site, especially of the outside, provide an inaccurate description. We were drawn to the primary photo on the site which shows a firepit with 4 cushioned chairs. What we got were two mesh chairs in disrepair and a non-working fire pit which I believe required a new propane tank. I would think that the cleaning crew would check to make sure that it worked before the next guest came through just as they should've realized after cleaning the guest bathroom sink that the water was backing up in the bowl. The kitchen also needs updated photos as the floors were not tiled but base concrete and there is no prep area in the center. The kitchen which leads to a small patio area housed a small table and chairs that were also aged. Two of the mattresses were uncomfortable and creaked with the slightest movement (we are all under 145 pounds). The front and side yard landscape is charming but the backyard which has a patio table and grill were unkempt. This could be a great rental with a few tweaks and updates. Until then, photos that provide a more accurate description of the rental would benefit future renters.
