Welcome to the Life is Peachy house! Located on one of West Side Paso's best wine trails (Peachy Canyon Rd.), our lovely, single level 3 bed, 2 bath home is nestled in the countryside, yet only 12 minutes from Downtown Paso! The property is shared with our on-site winery, Bodega de Edgar which focuses on Spanish Varietal wines (e.g. Tempranillo, Albarino, Grenache) and is within 5-10 minutes of several other highly regarded wineries! We also have a sweet little Airstream available to rent on the property through VRBO that sleeps 2. The perfect place to stay for a wine country get away!
In addition to our on-site winery, we own the winery called Straight Out Of Paso which is located on the East side of Paso Robles and focuses on Zinfandel, Cabernet, and Rhone blends. We offer 2 for 1 tastings at our Straight Out Of Paso location- just mention you are staying at the Life is Peachy house!
If you are interested in tasting at either location please be sure to make a reservation by emailing: wineclub@bodegadeedgar.com
A FEW THINGS TO NOTE:
Check in time at Life is Peachy is at 3pm unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. If you wish for an earlier check in, please let me know at the time of booking and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Hours of operation at the Bodega de Edgar tasting room are typically Thursday-Monday 10am-4pm. During this time there will be additional vehicles accessing the property, however the Life is Peachy house is fenced off and private from the tasting room.
While staying at Life is Peachy, you may periodically see an employee of ours entering through the front gate to access the garage to get supplies for our winery tasting room or to feed our barn cats. They will not disturb you in the house in any way. I like to make guests aware of this so that they are not alarmed if they happen to notice someone entering.
COUNTRY LIVING:
A few things to note if you are not used to "Country Living":
We love our wildlife! You will be surrounded by nature, from the sound of owls hooting at night and coyotes howling in the distance, to the birds chirping joyfully all day long. You may also be lucky enough to spot the flock of wild turkeys that roam Peachy Canyon Rd., the grey tree squirrels that seem to think they own the road, and the occasional bob cat & foxes that trot through the vineyard. As this is the country, it is also important to note that we do have little critters as well (mice, blue belly lizards, ants) and although rare, they have on occasion made their way into the home. Additionally, we are on a well system, so please be aware that very occasionally there may be a slight sulfur odor to the water, which usually passes quickly. It can also leave some staining in the toilet bowl due to the minerals. Please do not mistake this as the toilet not being cleaned! If any of this alarms you, please consider if Country Living is right for you. We think it's the best!
The Life is Peachy house is on a septic system. It is EXTREMELY important that you do not put ANY items down the toilet except for toilet paper. THANK YOU in advance for abiding by this! :)
Lastly, please keep in mind that I am not a large hotel chain, rather I am a small business owner and you are staying in a home, not a hotel. Guest stays are usually flawless, however there has been occasion when something unexpected and out of my control happens. If anything like this occurs during your stay, I will always go above and beyond to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. However, if this concerns you and you want the assurance of a hotel stay, I encourage you to do so. Please be a kind person:)
