"This hotel is not in the old town proper but with a car is easily (5min) drive or 20 min walk. Clean and comfortable, but economy room on top floor is small and awkward in that to get to far side of double bed need to duck a little due to roof slope. Breakfast is coffee and bread, juice and sweet bread. Owners are very friendly and accommodating but English is not spoken very well but they work with you. Bathroom is nice, clean and fairly roomy. "Very small room.No amenities And very uncomfortable. No air conditioning and we were not able to keep the windows open because there was no screen provided on the windows And bugs would get inside the room. We had to keep the windows closed at night. I fell The first time I used the shower in the bathroom because the bathtub was very slick and there was nothing to hold on. I injured my head and my right hand trying to hold on to something. The owner bought Something to prevent the slippage, But...

"Great location for exploring the area. Lovely huge old Spanish style casona with a lot of character. Good breakfast but a bit skimpy. Room was spacious and had a lovely view of the river, but bed was a bit on the small side and the shower curtain needs changing. Mat and table need replacing in living area of the room. Owner had an attitude when we asked to pay with a large bill as that was all we had, so bring small bills if paying cash."

"The hostal is at an awesome location in Arriondas on the river and it has a bar downstairs. The older gentleman who I think is the owner was really nice guy, I wish all hostels were like this"

"El entorno es maravilloso, la casa es tal y como se ve en el anuncio.Solo un par de cosas malas que nos pasaron pero fue por la cantidad de lluvia que cayó.Unas pequeñas goteras en una habitación que no nos hacía falta utilizaré y el terreno donde aparcar el coche embarrado y se quedó el coche sin poder moverlo durante un para de días.La culpa fue del temporal y ellos nos recompensaron con una buena botella de vino.Solo un consejo, asfaltar la zona de aparcamiento para que eso no vuelva a pasar."

"This is a lovely house with wonderful views, the garden is pleasant, full of birds which enjoyed the stale bread that we put out. The neighboring cat also enjoys the visitors food. The owner speaks good English and is helpful.The negatives were the arbitrary parking, the access road is very narrow and we had a problem with the septic tank being full causing a bad smell in the cottage. The owner did manage to get the tank emptied, so I guess we were just a bit unlucky."

Hotel Villa Rosario II, Edificio Moderno

"The hotel is modern and is a touch of luxury. Our room was spacious, comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. Area is quiet for sleeping. Staff were helpful and courteous. Toiletries were a step above. Parking was easy and free. Close to beach and cafes and a nice stroll to main town centre. There is a small fridge in the room and a pod coffee machine. We wish we had time to stay longer. "
