Not good.
The hotel looked nothing like the photo displayed on the website. The guy spoke no English. The room/bathroom were dirty. There were blood stains on our bed sheets. Staff was nice. But overall would not stay or recommend staying here.

Great location but no lift!
hotel staff was super helpful with my early arrival. hotel was clean, location was good. Bedroom was tiny. No breakfast available (remodeling of restaurant?). They allowed me to leave my luggage in first floor because i would have otherwise had to drag it up some uncomfortable flight of stairs.

Great for the price
I had a nice stay. This was not an expensive hotel so I didn't expect certain amenities. What I would like to say it that is was always very clean. The neighborhood was a little iffy to me but I don't know the other parts of the city. Plenty of restaurants. My room was clean and a nice place to relax when needed.

Hotek Bien-Etre
For an inexpensive hotel stay its perfect, cozy, close to the metro, restaurants are great and staff is friendly. For me having to leave the key at the front desk to my room every time I left was an unconvince. Otherwise I would stay there again.

Place to sleep at the end of a long day in Paris!
This hotel has zero emenities. No outlets in the bathrooms, TV is all French channels and it is on a very busy street so the road noise was very loud. We read reviews before we booked this hotel and it stated to get a room on the upper floors to minimize the road noise........it didn't. What you get with a higher floor is a longer walk up a narrow spiral staircase. All that being said we did not go to Paris to spend time in our hotel room. We spent ten days in this hotel, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, wifi in the room was reliable, and there was always hot water in the shower. The metro was literally 20 steps from the front door, the metro is easy to use and you could be anywhere you wanted to be in Paris in a matter of minutes. Republique area was a short walk and there was a ton of restaurants and shops

Was not the greatest introduction to Paris.
We stayed at this hotel during the Paris stage of our honeymoon. We were put on the sixth floor. This didn't seem too terrible at first but then remember that in Paris, there's a floor 0 as well. So we had to go up 6 flights of stairs ever morning and night. Again, still not terrible, but then remember that you're walking pretty much all day to see things in the city. Then you get home and have to go up 6 flights. This got old very fast. There were a lot of other issues as well, so I listed them: -Creakiest and loudest beds I've ever touched -You have to turn in your key in the lobby every time you leave -No toiletries -Smallest shower I've ever seen. Barely can rotate in there. The curtain doesn't work so the bathroom floor will get soaked -No lift -Minimal furniture and it was stained

You get what you pay
Clean room, decent place, wifi works in all floors(I had a room on the 6th floor), basically you get what you pay. If you are trying to save bucks it is a good option but less comfort. It has an excellent location for traveling because it has the Metro right in front of the hotel, the Republique is two blocks away which is a nice park to hang out. The weather was nice but in my room I didn't have Air Conditioner.

no toilet door!
The hotel was pretty good. The only "problem" was that the toilet which was next to the main corridor had no door! The location is good, although the neighbourhood was not the best. Nothing dangerous happened but we were extra carefully while walking in that area.

A Decent, Cheap Option
For a young couple, this was a very reasonably priced hotel and just what we needed. By no means is it anything other than the bare minimum- bed, bathroom, small tv- but it was perfect for us. We only used our room for sleeping and showering and charging our phones, anyway. They cleaned the room daily and gave fresh towels. The guys running the front desk were always friendly and happy to  give directions or elementary French lessons. Very close to several metro options, a small grocery store, and decent restaurants or fast food if you are in a pinch (the better, authentic food was a quick metro ride away).

wish-to-be hotel in average location
I was in Paris for a conference, and spent five nights at the hotel bien etre. The "reception" is a 2x2 room, connected to a dismantled snack bar. There is no elevator, and steep stairs going up to 5 floors: it can be a problem if one is not fit or has a large luggage. The room smelled really bad the first night, then I complained about it and it improved a bit: evidently it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while. There is no closet, and the very few things inside the room seem taken from a second hand shop. To bathroom, as basic as it can get, has no door, and when you leave the room you can wave goodbye to who's sitting on the toilet. For the same price (I paid 89 EUR/night) you can get a comfortable room in a decent hotel in Pigalle or Montparnasse, which are still close to the center. Beware: once you check in, if you want to check out early, you won't get any refund.

ideal location
first impressions were not good, especially as we were placed on the 6th floor, which was up 6 flights of stairs, ( no lift ), the room was basic and sparse, no seating, apart from the bathroom there were no mirrors. All very negative, but if you are looking for somewhere just to sleep whilst you go out and about this is ideal. The metro is just outside and there are countless places to eat and drink and you are not far from anything. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and managed to answer all of our queries, if you look beyond the 1st impressions this is an ideal place to stay and i would certainly stay there again

OK for a short stay if you are a budget traveller.
Quite a good view overlooking Blvd De Magenta, very much a typical Parisian city centre view. No lift so if your room is on the upper floors and you have heavy luggage then you are going to find it a struggle. Also there was no on/off control on the room radiator. We had to drape a towel over it to prevent the room from getting too hot and stuffy as it was permanently turned on.

Good location but noisy
Overpriced for its category, spartan furnishings - not even a table and chair! Perhaps more importantly : a noisy place on a boulevard that guarantees traffic noise round the clock.

NOT A 3 STAR HOTEL
It's not clear whether hotels.com made a mistake or the hotel lied to the website, but this hotel is NOT a 3 star hotel. In fact, it has no star at all. It does not mean that this is a bad hotel: the location is very convenient, the employees are quite friendly, the rooms are not too small by Parisian standards, and they are reasonably clean. However, one of the reason I reserved this hotel instead of others (cheaper and with 2 stars) was that it was advertised as a 3 star hotel, which is plain false.

Good Hotel but few issues
We were at the highest floor and its a very hard stairs to go up, very steep. The Hotel didn't have ice, which is normal for NOT USA but since we had things from the supermarket there was no way to storage. Room also had no AC and because it was very hot that made a difference. Channels on TV had no option to watch American programs in English but that could be French TV that it doesn't give you that option. Shower was very hard since it was very small. Nice staff, clean and a good deal from the price for 2 people.
