DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Avoid this “hotel”. The so-called “Deluxe Room” had a faulty shower and a loose toilet seat. The place is more like a hostel than a hotel - except that I have stayed in better hostels in Paris than this for half the price. We didn’t like the room or the hotel so we decided to check out early. The management told us we had to contact Expedia to cancel the reservation. When Expedia contacted the hotel they refused to cancel the reservation. Accusing us of simply changing our plans - they are so deluded that they could never accept that the hotel is bad - they kept our money (yes in line with the terms and conditions but if a customer says “I do not like your hotel and want to leave” keeping their money is not a smart move for good customer service). They also refused to refund the city tax for the nights we did not stay, which I consider to be theft. If you want your time in Paris ruined stay here. Otherwise spend half the amount on a hostel. Or stay in a different hotel. That the hotel response to this review will be to deny any problems and blame the customer will prove that what I am saying is true. See the other negative reviews to see what I mean. It is their standard way of dealing with the many complaints that they get.

Hotel staff double charged city tax. When I confronted them they charged me tax on top of per room per night plus tax estimation per hotel.com. Staff got very emotional. He claimed the tax per Hotel.com are paid to Expedia which is a lie. First night first stop of me and my two young kids Europe trip. I don't want to risk any things. I have travelled to more than 30 countries. First time ever this happened to me. Be aware!!!

I stayed in this property for about 5 days as a solo female traveler, and I could highly recommend this property! It is a 6 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and very near to the Etoile station, which connects me to a lot of touristy places. There's also various food areas if you're looking for variety. The staff were very nice and there was someone in the front desk at all times. My rooms were thoroughly cleaned everyday. While the space is small, I valued the generally safe and accessible area it was in! I felt safe walking even late at night.

The hotel is a traditional Paris hotel. The room was very clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bedding felt comfortable and clean. The Air Conditioning work great but it did had some water falling down from it when in use. The bathroom was clean and spacious, the shower needs some fixing but nothing major. The location is great is near the Arc de Triomphe and the Metro Train Station. There are many dining places and super markets near.

Our room was very clean & quiet. The hotel is so close to the Metro station & Champ Elysee. There are many restaurants and grocery stores near by. I was able to find a self laundry store nearby for our laundry need. That was a plus. I enjoyed my french breakfast at the nearby restaurant with a view of Arc De Triomphe while waiting for my laundry, so thankful!

The location is good because it is very near the Arc de Triomphe and the Metro Train Station and accessible to the shopping areas and dining places. However, the facility of the hotel like the shower head (leaking) and toilet seat kept on slipping, were not at all repaired. the staff were very helpful especially the front desk but maintenance of the facility leaves much to be desired.

Great location with 3 metro stations very close. Lots of options to eat, and 2 supermarkets just steps away. Shopping area, very close to arc de thriomphe. All the receptionists were very nice. Comfortable room with a great size bathroom. Would stay there again no doubt.

The hotel was a small house that had been converted into an establishment. The rooms were very cramped, and the elevator is old and small, accommodating only one person and a small suitcase. Since I had two regular suitcases, I had to take the stairs to reach the tiny room. The bedding was dirty, and there was no outlet in the room to charge my cell phone; the only outlet was in the bathroom. After checking in, I decided to check out just 30 minutes later and move to a different hotel, as I didn't feel comfortable staying there. I would never recommend the Hotel Riviera to anyone in the future.
