I've stayed here 10 or more times over the past 20 years. Nothing much changes, and that's not entirely good -- the wear and tear is showing. The location is still perfect -- bars, restaurants, patisseries steps from the door, the RER a block away, the Pantheon five minutes' walk. The staff are always welcoming. The rooms are basic. I've always felt that this hotel provided good value for the money -- but let's spiff it up a bit!

Very tired guest room.
The baseboards in the bathroom were filthy and the box springs under the mattresses were not covered by the dated bedspreads. Windows painted shut and very tired looking room that hasn’t been updated for many years. The bed was comfortable however, and the bathroom was large in comparison to the room.

Excellent Location
The hotel is in an excellent location. Within walking distance to several restaurants, bakeries, landmarks, and public transport. It includes basics, towels, shampoo, soap. There is nothing fancy about the hotel but it was exactly what we needed, just a clean place to sleep. Staff was very friendly. My only complaints are that there were always mosquitos in the room but no windows were ever left open, and even though we put the Do Not Disturb sign on our door, maintenance still went in the room to clean while we were away.

Great location, great old hotel!
Great location; easy walk to the Pantheon, Luxembourg, the Cluny. Slightly longer walk to Montparnasse Ave and cemetery, Musee D’Orsay and elsewhere. Bus stop right outside and a tres bon patisserie beside the hotel (not open on weekends) The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was large (although the shower was not). We recommend this hotel!

The property was what you would expect for the star rating. It is close to transport, pubs & eateries. The place is slightly smelly but of cleaning products. Great for a short stay. Didn’t like so much about leaving the key when we left but someone was always there to let us in, even at 3am.

The Hotel room was basic but clean. The shower was pretty basic and the bathroom very small. But the staff were helpful and the room was cleaned thoroughly every day. For €90 a night in the 5th you couldn’t complain at all.

It was Thanksgiving week and this was the cheapest. Great area in the Latin Quarter. Quick walk from the Luxembourg station. Checking in was easy. You do have to hang your room key when you leave the hotel each day, which is a bit weird. Upon checking in and settling in for a nap, someone opened my hotel room door and started speaking very loudly, almost yelling. I had no idea how this person got access nor do I know if this was an employee. I assumed she was an employee, but was very awkward nonetheless. A very dated hotel, but it gives you the feel of being in Paris perhaps. Food locations nearby. Maybe a 20-minute walk to Cathedrale de Notre Dame. 5-minute walk to Luxembourg station. Taxi stand not too far away. A bus stop right in front, which makes public transportation very easy.
