Hotel de Venise is a small property in walking distance from the Gare de Lyon. Some rooms are quite small, but every room I have stayed in (I've been visiting this hotel for a decade) is immaculate, and the bathrooms are large and ultra modern. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Love my stay at Hotel De Venise! Despite being a 2-star hotel, my room was really pleasant and the staff were all really friendly! :) Breakfast option was good too. Love how it is also conveniently located near the train station

problems...shower not not; shower stall--sliding door off its track making it difficult; staff fixed after the fact. the chinese restaurant next door is excellent as is the location of the facility. good continental breakfast. don't use the stairs, the banister is not secured in several places. does have a lift.

Rooms are small, yes, but everything else is great, clean, hyper friendly owner and staff, if you can get it get one of the street facing room on the top you'll get a cute balcony with a table and chairs, the breakfast buffet is good and inexpensive (9.5 euro).

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. This time I was attending the half marathon in the city and it was in a great location for the race. Once we booked it all our friends did too. The breakfast was great and plentiful, I would struggle to stay anywhere else when I next visit Paris.

Great, friendly welcome. The room was clean and well-equipped and the water pressure in the shower was pretty good. The location is fantastic and the bars and restos within two minutes walk are all great, whether for breakfast drinks or dinner.

The location is convenient. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. However, the single room is deceiving from the picture (the picture makes the room looked so much spacious.) Overall a great place to stay. It's super close to the train station and the main street where you'll have an abundance of tech, clothing, and food to shop around for. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels each day and new bedsheets every other day. An elevator is provided and breakfast is offered for a fee (although, we didn't choose it so nothing to say). Some downsides were how small the shower was and how easy it is to hear noise from outside the windows and door. The shower is only big enough for a grown adult to turn around on the spot. You'd have to carefully move your arms around to avoid knocking elbows into the walls and shower doors. It is also very easy to hear noise from outside the door and windows. There are some bars and restaurants opened late around the adjacent streets so any loud conversations can seep through. Regardless, it was an overall very pleasant stay and we would definitely choose to stay at the place again if given the choice.
