Would stay again
Very clean. Awesome wifi and air conditioning. Front desk were friendly. Had to leave key when leaving building. That was a little strange. Good location. No ice. Offered to purchase a glass in bar and bartender refused. Offered him 10 euros to give me any drink on the rocks just keep the liquid and he was very rude and said he wasn't giving out his ice.

Great location
Great location--2 blocks from Luxembourg RER/metro station so easy access to CDG. Can't hear street noise but walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. AC and wifi work well.

Very small room that was often too cold for March. Disappointed that the bar was closed on Tuesdays. Was nice to get laundry done, but no ironing or even an iron available. Loud students in the late hours. Was central to our needs but saw plenty of other hotels in the area that were as nice. Hallway lighting was very dangerous on remote timers. Didn't feel safe.

Some rooms are not well heated
I stayed for 3 nights (end of January), they assigned me a room at Rez-de chaussee, making me notice that the room was renovated recently. The first night I had 15C in the room, the heating system did not work and the bathroom was quite cold. The morning after I asked for a different room, they replied it was not possible because all rooms were taken. Evidently, several people left on that Friday so they could re-assign me in another room just if they wanted. Some of the people at the concierge are barely friendly and their knowledge of English is quite poor, so they tend to address guests in French (I find this rather impolite since most of the guests aren't French!). The hotel rooms are quite, quite small and the rooms are overpriced for the amenities (almost null) one can find in there.

Most convenient for Luxembourg metro
Honestly would stay here again for the convenience of proximity to Luxembourg train station. With the right exit from the station you can be in the hotel within 5 mins.The hotel itself was cute, clean and the staff was friendly. However the room was tiny, and included no amenities ( a coffee fe maker, or microwave would have been nice). Our biggest problem was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could literally have conversations in a normal voice if we wanted too between rooms. As we were on vacation and left early and came back late this didn't bother us too much until the last couple of days when we had possibly the loudest angry neighbors who would arrive at about 2 am fighting, and wake up at 6 am fighting once more. Though, like I said, I would probably stay here again but if this seems like it would be a major issue for you I would definitely stay away.

Well located, close to transport and local restaurants. Very very small rooms, nowhere to put your wet coat at the end of the day and the smallest bathroom I have ever experienced.

Nice Latin Quarter option
Convenient location in Latin Quarter and very comfortable room tho all rooms are not the same. We had a double room on the 6th floor in one part of the hotel that had a view of Pantheon that was larger and nicer than our friends' twin room on the 3rd floor of the other part of the hotel. There are lights in the stairways that are automatic so need to be careful.

Wifi wasn't great but the hotel was in a perfect location for seeing all the sights of Paris and to the airport. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Cramped hotel with poor service
Our room was almost smaller than an average bathroom. Clearly the photographers got npvery creative with their brochure shots. The lift only fits two people at a time and that's of normal size with minimal baggage. The beds are rock hard. The bathroom is smaller than an old fashioned wardrobe. Please think twice before booking this hotel. There is no view and the area is average. So disappointing.

Quaint , some disadvantages.
We liked the hotel and staff were helpful and very courteous. It was located on a quiet street near the Sorbonne. The disadvantage was there was no door on the bathroom therefore no privacy. There was no soundproofing so we heard people walking around late into the night and early in the morning. Would recommend for the location and affordability but not for comfort of privacy and quietness.

Just ok...
This hotel was okay for the price. The set up is a bit odd, but I believe all of the single rooms are that way. The sink was placed so close to the toilet that I had to sit down sideways. The shower was missing the curtain, so the bathroom got completely wet when I showered. They gave me one the following day. There was no fridge in the room and the sockets near the bed did not charge my phone. I had to use the one in the bathroom, which I said earlier was very wet. Otherwise, it was fine and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

We like the Hotel Andre Latin!
This is the sixth time we have stayed at Andre Latin. We like its location and its breakfast facilities. It's an easy walk to the nearest metro and there are bars and restaurants close by in Rue Muffetard. It is near to Boul'Mich (Boulevard St Michel) and Luxemburg Gardens. The staff are multilingual and very friendly. The rooms are typical of Paris hotels and are tastefully furnished. The hotel is reasonably priced and they have recently upgraded the foyer and reception and added a bar with breakfast facilities. We will definitely be back.
