our week in Paris
The apartment is comfortable, private and ground level with an easy entrance and exit. The bathroom is modern with a very good shower. We stayed for a week and would do so again. Fantastic location. There was one small window into the courtyard, so no view. The Property manager is wonderful and so helpful. Check in and out at the Pizza restaurant next door. Best pizza ever!

The property was entirely different from the picture I saw and believed I was getting. The picture showed a bright room with couches. What we got was a small dark room on the ground floor with one small window covered in privacy film. But it was a clean place to shower and sleep. We said we would arrive at 6:00 and waited more than half an hour for our host to arrive, but the manager is quick to respond to messages through VRBO. The neighborhood was great, and close proximity to groceries and transit. I would probably give the property a solid 4 or 5 stars if I'd seen the correct photos through the site. Expectation management.

I loved the location of this place. It was close to a couple of metro stations and there were so many cafes/stores near by. I was on the right street, but not the right house number. We read through the description of this place and went to the pizza place to get a hold of the person who would eventually check us in and let us in to the apartment. Once he was there, he patiently explained how everything worked in the apartment. He was also kind enough to house our luggage on the last day to for a few hours after check out time, which I found to be extremely helpful/accommodating.

The property was not very clean when we got there. There was little dish soap and body wash when we got there and even if I requested it through the owner, it never came. It was listed with a washer and dryer but it was broken. They offered to laundry our clothes but whites cameback blue. Besides the location, I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND.

Excellent location; I come to Paris frequently and this is EXACTLY where I want to be.
Perfect for a single or couple. The street level location is unusual in an historic building and great for guests who can’t easily manage stairs.

Staying on Saint-Paul -- a delight
I had a great stay chez Rue Saint-Paul. Booking with James, and checking in was easy -- and Mike, who works with James, showed me around the studio, and made sure I knew how appliances, etc. worked -- and made sure I knew how to reach him. The bed and pillows are exquisite! And I don't say that ever. Very nice linens, plenty of towels. New looking heating system, so plenty warm. The apartment looks like it was recently renovated. Some stylish touches in a small space, like the tiled bathroom with a nice shower -- and bathroom door! Some people wrote about noise -- nothing that wasn't within reason, if you've ever lived in an apartment building. Looking forward to visiting again!

C’était l’appart parfait pour ma famille de trois à Paris. Une rue calme, très proche au supermarché, des restos, et la Seine. On a resté trois nuits, du week-end. Parce qu’on s’occupait autour de la ville, la petite taille ne nous avons pas dérangé. A la prochaine!

great but....
The host was very nice offering us a free drink while we waited to check in. We arrived at 10 am with a 2PM check in time and someone was waiting for us which was great. they stored our bags and told us to be back at 2pm. when we arrived back the room wasn't ready so they offered us some wine and we had a bite to eat in the restaurant. the person who showed us the room was hurried and didn't adequately explain how to lock the door so i had to go back to the owner who kindly came with me to explain the process. As mentioned in a previous review there is no covering on the one large window in the apartment which opens onto the courtyard of the building allowing everyone who enters and uses the stairs to see into the apartment. This was definitely the most uncomfortable part of the experience. We jerry-rigged a window covering. The beds were comfortable, the shower hot, apartment clean and quiet. Location was the best. there is no AC in the apartment so we left the window cracked to get ventilation which let cigarette smoke into the apartment from someone smoking in the courtyard. Also it would have been nice if they had supplied some pods for the coffee maker. We were in the apartment for 2 nights and overall we enjoyed our stay regardless of the few negatives mentioned.
