Overall the stay was good. I have been before and so knew what to expect. Breakfast buffet was new to me and of a good quality.
You cannot add extras prior to arrival such as the Disney Luggage Express. This is not due to the hotel but booking via Expedia. When I tried to do this Expedia were not helpful. When I used the chat to contact the hotel for his and a room request I never got an answer. Again I am not sure this is the fault of the hotel.
One point of feedback to the New York Hotel. On the day we left there was a conference for Coca Cola. We were unaware but saw evidence of a conference as we left for the Parks. We returned to collect luggage and were literally jumped on by security at the door. It was unfriendly and intimidating. We wanted to freshen up and grab a coffee etc prior to leaving. This was NOT an option and even popping to the toilet was something we felt we could not ask. We were escorted to collect the luggage and escorted back to the door by security and hotel staff. It was not the Disney Experience I wanted to leave with.
There was no communication AT ALL on this. A simple polite message on dropping off the bags, an email as we checked in or a letter under the door would have sufficed. We would know the set up and arrived mentally prepared rather than collecting luggage feeling as if we were trespassing.
