Formerly known as Notre-Dame-des-Vertus, Aubervilliers was an important place of pilgrimage from the mid-14th to the late 18th century, thanks to a miracle in one of its churches. Aubervilliers underwent significant expansion with the arrival of the Industrial Revolution, and is now one of the most densely populated suburbs of Paris. This ancient town also boasts a significant architectural and historical heritage, particularly in the old center.
