We just returned from Paris.... Well, Paris, KY that is. But this was a great trip to Keeneland and then a very pleasant drive to Paris. It's a historic home that is being restored, but also an art school for kids during the week. Great art work adorns the walls. It has some curb appeal but it's still a diamond in the rough on the outside, but look deeper at the inside. We loved the large king room on the decor floor, the decor, and the interesting shower in our private bath room. Room was very clean, comfortable and we slept well all night. Paris had a very nice downtown representing the perfect still thriving small american main street. What a surprise. Really, it's something great to see in this day. We truly enjoyed it all. There are several nice eateries within walking distance also. Our breakfast in the morning was simple but pleasant with yogurt, granola, fresh muffin, and coffee that we self-served. Good value for the $ overall. The key in the door lockbox was a little awkward, as we weren't sure if we could take it with us or use it and return it for the other guests, but we managed fine.
