Apartment located on the first floor of a freestone building, Haussmann style, with parquet floors, moldings and period fireplaces. Double exposure street and courtyard. Completely refurbished in 2016. Artist's apartment close to the most beautiful historical and cultural sites in Paris. 2 steps from Gare du Nord, between Canal St Martin and Montmartre.

The neighborhood:
Cosmopolitan, trendy and “boho” district, close to all traditional and typically Parisian shops. Great bakery !!
Many restaurants, wine bars, terraces and brasseries. Multiple parks and green spaces nearby (Les Buttes Chaumont, Parc de la Villette, etc.), a jogging paradise along the Canal.
Guides of Paris are available during your stay.
Two large supermarkets 100m from the house.
The neighborhood:
I love it. It’s cosmopolitan, in and “boho”. My flat is near all traditional shops as well as Indian shops. It's a very safe place where artists and Paris lovers live. Lots of films and series are shot here.


Transport:
3 mins from Gare du Nord (Eurostar, Thalys), 40 mins from Roissy CDG and Orly airports, and served by many public transport (Metro 2, 4, 5, 7, 7a; RER B, DE; Bus 38.39.42.43.46.48.65.302, and 350 direct Roissy).
Vélib 'and Autolib' stations.
Public transport:
Careful: you have no parking space and it is almost impossible to park around. But you have lots of other possibilities.
Bus, underground RER, taxis: 3 ’on foot from Gare du Nord (Thalys, Eurostar).
7 ’on foot from Gare de l'Est (Lyria and DB trains to Germany and Switzerland)
40 ’by RER to Roissy CDG and Orly airports.
Bicycle and car kiosks near the flat.

Housing :
Secure building with double digicode. First floor with elevator, disabled access.
A very safe building with a double building code and a safe door. It's on the 1st floor. (lift and access to disabled people).

The apartment consists of:
-a large double living room - dining room with grand piano (tuned and reserved for people respectful of the instrument), with an atmosphere both modern and charming. Parquet, moldings, Prussian stove and period fireplace (beware, fires prohibited in the building !!).
- an independent and very well equipped kitchen (microwave, nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, 4-burner induction hob, fridge-freezer, kettle, food processor, toaster).
-a bedroom with 2 twin beds (90 X 200) and a dressing room, on a very quiet courtyard. Please note, no crib.
-a large master bedroom (140 X 190 bed, and another 90x200 single bed) with parquet-moldings-period fireplace with lots of storage.
-a bathroom with 130cm shower, soap, shampoo and towels are provided.
-separate WC.
A very large sitting-room / dining-room with a grand piano (ready to be used by respectful persons). Modern and antiquated atmosphere at the same time. Wooden floors, molding, fire place: be careful, making fire is STRICTLY forbidden.
A kitchen with separate access (microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, 4 induction plates, fridge, freezer ....).
1 bedroom with 2 twin beds (90x200), a dressing room. Calm courtyard side.
1 master bedroom (140x190), with an other bed (90x190), desk and storage units.
1 bathroom (130cm shower). Soap, shampoo and towels are supplied.
Separated toilets.

• You have free access to everything but a wardrobe in the sitting room where I put away my scores. Please be kind and do not mess it up.
• I can always be reached by phone even if abroad. If I’m away when you arrive, a trusted friend will welcome you and help you with the WI-FI code and other details.


Feel like at home, no more no less (respect for old and fragile objects and furniture). And above all, notice to young children, the piano is not a toy, it is a member of the family, who is about 100 years old. Please do not put anything on it.

• Last but not least: please be nice to the neighborhood and respectful of the quietness (do not play the piano after 10pm ..)

Charming Apartment
Nice roomy apartment, well appointed, and very comfortable for three or four people. A very nice Boulanger was on the corner and made it easy to get fresh croissants every morning. It took us a few days to find our way about, but when we did it was very convenient.

Great place to stay
We had a good time at this cozy and spacious apartment. It is well located with metro stations at a walking distance which allowed us to visit all the places we planned to with no problems whatsoever. The property manager was friendly and very helpful with some general and specific questions we had prior to get there. She allowed us to check in earlier so we didn't waste our time waiting. We were very pleased with the decision we made. Staying there was an important part of our fantastic trip to Paris

Paris sisters trip
The property was a nice representation of classic French apartment building. Somewhat disappointing that the piano and other pieces of furniture were covered with vinyl cloths. The kitchen was nicely equipped, and the shower was just right. The neighborhood is mainly Indian.

Spring Break in Paris
We had a wonderful time in Paris! Marie’s apartment is so charming and just as described. It was very convenient to be so close to the La Chapelle Metro stop which connects to just about anywhere in the city. Marie was wonderful to answer all of our questions and kind enough to let us leave our bags for a few extra hours so we could soak up our last moments of our vacation. Merci!

We spent a week in the apartment and were very satisfied. The apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms and a large living room featuring a comfortable dining table and a grand piano. The apartment is both cozy and stylish, making it an ideal choice for someone who needs to practice the piano during their vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The location is very convenient, with many supermarkets nearby, and both metro and train stations within walking distance. The only concern is the area’s relatively poor reputation for safety. It’s advisable to stay alert, especially when walking alone in metro areas at night. Otherwise, it’s nearly perfect and truly lives up to its name as “an artist’s apartment with a grand piano.”

Great stay, extraordinary service
The apartment is beyond beautiful, with every amenity thought out by the extraordinary host. Marie Pierre left wine and water for us, had toiletries in the bathroom, and everything you could need in the kitchen. The apartment is steps from Gare de Nord, one of the most accessible train stations in Paris. We could hop on to the metro to explore the city, or hop the Eurostar to explore the rest of Europe. We are so grateful to Marie Pierre for the wonderful stay!

Beautiful Apartment
We really enjoyed our stay and Marie was a responsive and attentive host. The apartment was beautifully furnished and comfortable for our group of 4. We were traveling with our teenage daughters and had some intimidating experiences near the La Chapelle station and on the metro so we traveled via the La Blanc station instead and that was better. But overall a lovely apartment and helpful host. Thank you!

Paris for the Olympics
We were in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The location was good for using public transportation to get to and from. We did not spend a lot of time in the apartment as you can imagine but what we did; there are no complaints. I want to commend the host on her attention, flexibility, and responsiveness. Prior to our arrival, she reached out to give a heads up we should purchase metro tickets ahead of time. The morning of checkout, we found out our train to leave was affected by the arson attacks. I reached out to ask if it was possible for us to stay an extra hour or two so we could find an alternate option. The host was more than accommodating. It was a great relief and truly appreciated!

Only 1 block to one metro station a just a few to another line. My son enrolled in the American Business school for a semester and that was only a 7-8 minute walk. Apt was comfortable for both of us. We brought our own comforters as our stay was at the height of Winter and we are from a warm climate. Glad we did as it was in the 30s at night. Easy check in was appreciated after the long flights from east coast USA. Excellent value. We enjoyed our stay

Unique Paris apartment
Property is fine on problems. Unique Paris apartment Neighborhood is not so good lots of men hanging around Metro station very non French area. Large police presence street drugs etc. No reflection on the property or owner. Easy access to all of Paris by Metro and trian. Watch out for pick pockets!! Got hit on twice.

Lovely apartment close to metro and trains
The apartment is large by Paris standards with a well appointed kitchen. Our only issue was that there is a Paris regulation that prohibits purchase of wine/alcohol after 5 pm in a 5 block area. Seems quite racist. You have to remember to buy wine near the Louis Blanc metro station or near the apartment before 17:00!

St. Vincent-de-Paul
My husband, sister and I spend a wonderful 8 days. My husband, especially, enjoyed the piano and the variety of books. Instructions for entering the apartment were clear and information on the environs were particularly useful. There is no parking for autos; however, we had lots of adventure on the Metro (Louis Blanc and LaChapelle) on getting to places. It is SO simple to get to Sacre Coeur We found excellent places to eat, the laundry is across the street, and the staff at the Super Marche were wonderful.
