"Our accommodations were very conveniently located close to the beach, and we were very satisfied with the restaurants and bar service. The staff were top notch in keeping our rooms and the property clean and were immediately responsive to our requests. The only negative i can comment about has to do with the rude behavior of some of the guests who reserved a covered seating area next to the bar by spreading out their belongings to cover all available seats. "It was a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and the staff was great. I did see a mouse run through the Mercat restaurant on my last breakfast at the hotel. I would go back again. "

"I loved this resort! We booked the Royal level and it was worth it. We had a separate check in and the Royal level people made all of our dinner reservations. I was worried about the food due to some of the reviews but it was amazing! I was eating fresh shrimp, lobster and filet mignon. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want, we ate at the buffet for lunch overlooking the ocean. The resort is right in the middle of everything and you can walk to the shops across the street. A special shout out to Randy on the beach who set up our spot every morning. The beach area does get busy as it is a public beach. Another special shout out to the beach bar attendant for keeping the drinks flowing. I did not like our room view as it was ocean/parking lot side so next time I would try to get an ocean front or pool side view. The people who work at this resort were truly amazing...if you need anything just ask."

"Selection of food was plentiful and delicious. It was nice not worrying about making reservations. I would have liked to be able to take a salad from the buffet to the beach, but it was frowned upon. They do have hamburgs, hot dogs, chicken patties, french fries beachside during lunch. Again, it was very good. Many people bring "YETIs" or large metal drink containers for their drinks since the cups are about 8 oz. We did have dinner off site one night since we enjoy many restaurants on the island. The staff was so pleasant and accomodating. The beach area is large. The palapa reservation is a bit sketchy. We found the staff putting out towels on chairs at 3:30 am!! So when you arrive at the beach it looks as though all palapas are taken. Staff is available to "look" for a palapa. Some areas of the property need updating, but overall the property is beautiful. A bit disappointed in the gym facility. 1 out of 3 treadmills was in service as well as the elliptical. Plenty of free weights, pully area. I did not however, have an issue with access to any of the equipment when accessed at 7am and 4pm. Plenty of entertainment at night, and some skits are completely hysterical. Guests seem to enjoy them. Bingo activity at the pool during the day. Live music throughout the day. I was pleasantly surprised since we usually stay at The Grand Hyatt. "
