"They have a “duplex” where there is a second story with a king/2twins in the “upstairs” level so if you need a little separation, this is a great option. However, note that there is only one bathroom so whoever is sleeping upstairs needs to go downstairs to use the bathroom and that might not work for those who are older or have mobility issues since the stairs are quite steep. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The location is GREAT with a small shopping center a free minutes away by foot, including a small grocery store. The infinity pool was lovely. There is a fitness center but it’s just a couple of treadmills and ellipticals. The AC in our room was POWERFUL so don’t worry about the heat and humidity in Moorea; you will find reprieve in your room. The only negative was that the food at the bar restaurant sucked. Really, really bad. For instance, my meal came with “wok cooked fresh vegetables” but they were clearly from a bag of mixed frozen veggies heated up in the microwave - they were soggy, bland and overall gross so stay there, but I don’t recommend eating there. Ditto for the Hilton’s Rotui restaurant. Same gross reheated frozen vegetables and French fries. Eat at Ccok hotel’s restaurant or the Sofitel. "

"This is an exceptional boutique hotel, located right across from the Papeete ferry port. Plenty of interesting sighs to see from here (including an excursion to Pointe Venus or a city tour). Lots of cool restos and shopping before you head out into the islands. Nils Winter, the Concierge, is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. You will definitely enjoy your time in spectacular French Polynesia with your home base at the Kon Tiki! Highly recommended! "

"This is a boutique hotel in a really nice area. The room had a really nice deck overlooking the ocean. Snorkeling and the reefs in the hotel were spectacular (you don't even need to snorkel to see the marine life!). Beautiful sunsets from the deck! We really enjoyed our stay. "

"The first night was in a run down room, but we stayed a week later and it was a very nice room, though the shower tub could ise updating. A nice though expensive breakfast buffet. The restaurant is a beautiful setting with tahitian vibes on the shoreline. Good food and good bands playing with locals dancing on weekends. Nice little pool, but very friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a less expensive option that worked fine for quick stays."

"Everything was wonderful, or cabana, the ocean, the staff from front desk to cleaning although seemed under staffed somewhat. We ate breakfast once and I would say being from the restaurant industry that it was VERY overpriced for the selection offered. Basic, fruit breads coffee and juice was 32.00 and if you upgraded to pancakes and eggs it was 36.00. Very slow service, but again understaffed. Lunch and dinner was VERY good though and pricing was okay. The grounds people and cleaning staff were wonderful. The cabanas were spacious and very comfortable. One suggestion would be to offer snorkeling equipment and a beach towel to your guests at no charge for what you charge to book a stay. "
