"A very popular person stayed next door (maybe he was selling a lil something). Door knocks all night, people would go in, people would leave. The possible customers (if the guy was selling something) were noisy again when they started their cars and left….this happened all night long. I don’t know any other explanation for so many guests through the night in an hotel room. Also, a broken down mini van was just in the parking lot with luggage on its roof all day and night. "

"The staff at check in and check out were super nice. The room was average, but very quiet and comfortable. The room was clean, couch was stained but pretty normal. The water was super hot in the shower, so beware. I was also pleasantly surprised to have eggs at breakfast. I will definitely stay again if I'm in the area."

"If you ever stay at this property, you will know exactly what that means. Check in is via a kiosk with an agent overseas. Never experienced anything like that but it was ok. They have worked hard to make this into a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel experience. It was quite nice EXCEPT for the horrible smell emitting from one of those plug in scent things with liquid in a reservoir. It would send a skunk running. We unplugged it and bagged it but the smell stayed with us. Note to owner: Please...

"El Capitan was quaint and vintage decor. Loved the amenities and all the property had to offer! Peaceful and enjoyed the stay! The host was amazing and so attentive. Less than 15 minutes to the canyon and 25 to Amarillo for the Big Texas Steakhouse. It was my husband and I and our two fur babies. We would definitely recommend if you’re heading that way ! One of a kind!!"
