"The front desk staffs were very friendly and courteous. They offered welcoming drinks, coffee or tea and also a complimentary zip line pass available from the 24th floor of the hotel to across the harbor. The hotel is close to HyangIRam Hermitage which was a nice excursion as well"

"The good bad and ugly. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Yeosu Sono Calm hotel. We got upgraded to a large ocean view room. This was a pleasant surprise after staying at smaller rooms in Seoul. The sauna and breakfast buffet were also 5 stars! Now for the bad. The rooms are a bit dated from the Expo days. Bring extra plugs to charge your USB devices. The plumbing in the bathroom is also odd. You'll have to see for yourself. In summary Sono Calm is worth a visit with a few quirks....

"Good facilities and staff, huge rooms and accomodation but hard for travellers without access to a car. Nearest relevant bus stops are 15 minute walks and you're looking at a 45 min bus ride to downtown Yeosu. Next to some abandoned hotels so it feels uneasy walking but it's perfectly safe. Views of the harbour are nice but it's a relatively quiet neighborhood compared to other parts of town."
