Calypso 902 West - 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Beach Front Condominium

Enjoy Panama City Beach at its finest at the Calypso Beach Towers located right in the heart of Panama City Beach. This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom condominium sleeps up to 8 people and features an extra room. Located on the 9th floor, you can enjoy the majestic views this property has to offer, the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico all from your private balcony.

The living room is spacious and features a flat screen TV and queen size sofa sleeper and wet bar. There is plenty of space for family gatherings. The dining area has a table that seats up to 6 people with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The fully equipped kitchen features update appliances, granite counter tops and spacious enough to enjoy each other’s company and prepare your family meals.

The master bedroom features a king size bed, TV and en-suite full size bathroom with shower/tub combination. The vanity has a granite counter top and large walk-in closet. From the master bedroom you can access the unit’s private balcony which is the perfect location to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the magnificent Panama City Beach Sunsets.

The guest bedroom will have a queen size bed and TV. The third room will have a twin size bunk bed and TV, the third room does not have a closet, so this is why it is listed as an additional room. This unit is great for families and convenient to all the local attractions.

This beachfront property offers 512 feet of pristine white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Calypso Beach Towers has 2 spectacular swimming pools with a poolside Tiki bar. The gate parking garage offers ample parking space and elevated access to both towers. A fitness center is available at no additional charge. Beach chairs can be rented through beach services setup directly behind the property, the chairs are not included with the rental of this unit.

The property is directly adjacent to Pier Park which features shopping, dining, movie theaters and entertainment. Pier Park and its amphitheater, Aaron Bessant Park are home to several local events held in Panama City Beach such as the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Pier Park New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, concerts and car shows.

Area attractions include Gulf World Marine Park, Wonderworks, Ripley's Believe it or Not, St. Andrew's State Park, Shell Island, deep sea fishing and several championship golf courses in the area. Local Golf Courses Include Camp Creek Golf Club, Shark's Tooth, Holiday Golf Club and Hombre Golf Club, Bay Point Golf Club. Approximately 15 minutes to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, and only 1 mile to Frank Brown Park.

The location is great The weather was great Ok so the bunk beds I had to rebuild to make safe now they are Bedroom sheets dirty had to wash before using Patio door curtain is broken but still does work Front door safety latch broken Tv in Living room didn't work But past that the price was right we had a good stay I'm not one to complain but this information will be helpful for the owner it had to be said Thanks

Decent condo, great location and price
We have stayed in the Calypso 2 other times at different condos. This condo is on the lower side as far as condition, but the price and location are great. Plan to bring some lawn chairs if you want to enjoy the view from the balcony. There is only one chair outside and it is broken. Also, there was only 1 hand towel for the kitchen, so you'll need to bring/buy additional dishcloths to do dishes and wipe the counters, etc. Overall, we got what we expected after reading previous reviews. As mentioned, the furniture is pretty outdated and somewhat stained, etc. But it was still comfortable to sit on. If you want to be close to Pier Park and the beach without spending a ton of money, this place is perfect. If you're wanting something shiny and new, you should probably keep looking.

The unit was outdated, mattresses were worn out, living room furniture was worn out and sleeper sofa was nothing but springs. The kitchen was not fully stocked with usable cookware, only 1 dish towel, 4 towels and 3 washcloths in the whole unit. I had to go buy towels just so we would have enough. There was trash under the living room furniture when we arrived. Knobs off of bathroom cabinets and the handles to the faucet were installed backwards. The pictures on the website must have been taken years ago when everything was brand new. I don’t recommend staying at Calypso. I don’t like parking decks that are across the street. Too many elevators and narrow hallways.

I was in the condo for 2 full days but they sent maintenance in both days to do things that could have done after our checkout. They came twice on the second day just to replace light bulbs in a bathroom that we did not asked for.

rent through the building. As others have said the property company is not the best. We were lacking two blankets for the beds. Pillows were old and stained along with the mattresses. The bunk bed was broken when we got there, we rigged it up but was not intended for any adult. The toilet was broken as in the toilet was missing a chunk out of it and the sink faucet was messed up. There was no shower curtain and mold was growing on wall from this. We also got locked out of the unit at 9a.m not 10 with stuff still inside. It was several $100 cheaper than the next apartment for a reason.

I have been stuck at home for six months and this was my first time out since my health crisis. We have stayed at the Calypso in many different units over the years, we have been coming to the Calypso for going on 13 years always a great time staying here have not had a problem at any other units. I would say that there is very little deck furniture only one chair. And the beds are hard but other than that it’s all good. PS the dryer takes forever to dry your clothes.

When we got there first bedrooms comforter had stains all over it. We proceeded into living room couch had stains and holes in it, our bedroom had no dresser for clothes. Then to top it all off we went to balcony and all furniture was broken, we couldn't even sit outside. I called Fri got a recording left a message no response so called back Tues and lady said she would get a work order immediately and we never seen a thing happen. I would definitely like a refund of some kind but after that experience not expecting one.

The pictures of this listing are incredibly out of date for this location. We arrived to find the condo not cleaned prior to our arrival after waiting until precisely 4pm on the dot to be let into the condo. The previous tenants left the condo a disaster and it took the cleaning crew 3 hours to get it back into reasonable shape. After finally being able to unpack our food and belongings, we started adding to the list of things wrong with this condo. 3 of the 4 chairs on the balcony were broken meaning one person at a time could enjoy the view. The couches were too dirty to sit on so we covered everything with sheets. The blinds were broken so we didn't touch them for fear the whole thing would come crashing down. The bunk bed not only had a missing slat under the bottom bunk but was missing a support piece between the upright frames that made it incredibly wobbly and dangerous to sleep on. One of our boys ended up putting the mattress on the floor rather than risk crashing on the bottom bunk. We reached out to management multiple times for repairs and didn't hear back once with a solution - just that the request had been submitted. Add on the regular challenges of condo stays (dryers that don't work, tubs that don't drain, dishwashers that don't drain) and we didn't feel comfortable in this place for one moment of our stay. We asked about a different property and were offered a $70/night 2 bedroom where we'd buy air mattresses to have enough space for the group. 0 STARS

Condo nightmare.
Worst stay of our life. When you first walk in…yeah it looks okay. As you look closer, it’s dirty, everything is broken, it smells bad. Specifically smells like cat piss. The bunk beds were broken. We couldn’t even get on the top bunk without the top bed falling off. We notified the owner and she said maintenance would come up. They came up and said they couldn’t fix it and then we never heard from the owner again. We had to buy an air mattress for our guest. We had to buy new sheets and a new comforter because they were filthy and disgusting and we didn’t want to catch a disease on our trip. We had to put sheets over the couches because they were also stained and dirty. Don’t you just love sitting on the balcony at the beach? Well too bad at this condo because all the patio furniture is broken. Don’t you love taking a clean shower after the beach? Well sucks because there is seaweed and dirt in the shower from the previous guests that stayed there. We also loved buying some coffee, creamer, and filters and the store to enjoy some coffee just to find out the coffee maker doesn’t work :) want some light in your bedroom? Too bad because one bedroom had one lightbulb and the other three in the fan were missing. So if you would love to stay at a complete crap hole of a room this is the place for you! And the total of everything we had to buy for our room to accommodate us (sheets, air mattress, coffee, etc) was about $140.

State of condo
The condo itself was nice but there were places on the wall and the kitchen sink was broken. The ceiling fan in the main bedroom had a broken chain so I could not use it. If the condo was updated it would be really nice. Everything in it was so old. The furniture was really bad and uncomfortable. The mattresses on the bed were horrible. Myself and my daughter woke up with our backs killing us every day. The large bedroom that I slept in had sand all over the comforter and on the sheets. I had to find me a sheet to cover up with. Whoever owns this should really update it and they would have a really nice spot.

Worst I have ever stayed in!
was very disappointed with the room. It was dirty, bunk beds were broke, black mold in the bathrooms, the patio furniture was broke, gum on the beds, food in the beds. Ceiling fan in master bedroom did not work, the vent in the master bathroom did not work. There was clothes under the bed from previous guests. None of the doors locked. I spent over $3000 for this room for 4 full days and was expecting a lot better. I could have stayed at a cheap motel and got the same thing, if not better!

Great location, poor condo
Location, beach access and scenery was perfect. We have stayed at Calypso several times but this was the first time in this specific condo and we were very disappointed. The condo did not seem like it was cleaned (lots of buildup throughout the entire condo), more like just thrown together. Lots of stuff broken and poorly maintained condo in general. Something we expected out of a cheap hotel but not for a condo we spent 4K for 4 nights.

Look for a different condo
After 22 years of coming to PCB and seven stays at the Calypso this was by far the worst experience paying this much for a condo. The floors were dirty, balcony filthy (ashes cigarette butts) broken patio furniture , the back door broken and impossible to open from outside and would not close,completely. There was no broom in the condo for us to sweep. BLACK MOLD in main bathroom, leaky faucets and standing water in the sink. There was1 wash cloth, 2 forks in entire condo for a family of 4. The pool passes were expired and the kids could not swim. To top it off changed codes on the doors 1 hour prior to checkout (don’t take any last minute strolls). Reported expired pool passes first day, three days later i has to go to the HOA office and call the management company myself to replace. Said the would send someone to look at the faucet and the clean the balcony nobody came or called. Per the HOA they had not called as they said they had. Management would not return my calls and offered no compensation. I love the Calypso but would stay far away from this company..

Upon entering the condo it smelled terrible. It did not look like it has been cleaned at all. The shower curtains were dirty, shower curtain liners had mold on them, dust and dirt in the kitchen drawers/cabinets, plus many other things. The door to the balcony was almost impossible to open and had dirt smeared on it. We ended up purchasing our own cleaning products to clean. There were broken chairs on the balcony. You can feel the springs in the mattresses on the bunk beds. The pictures posted of this property are very deceiving. We were very disappointed that this was the shape of the condo for the price we paid. I did contact the property manager about all of this. They did ask if we wanted the cleaning service to come out again but we had already purchased cleaning products and cleaned ourselves. I did request for new shower curtain liners, which were brought to us and left on the counters, but not changed. We never received an apology about all of the issues. We love staying at these condominiums but will not stay in the particular condo again.

Not what we expected
Will not use this type of search engine to Find a vacation place again. Want a clean place where we can speak with a human when checking in or when we have questions about anything regarding accommodations, the City, Restaurants etc…. When you’re spending money on a memorable family vacation, it should 1) look like what’s in the pictures 2) be clean. We had to wear shoes the whole time indoors, cover the couch & loveseat with sheets & bunk bed sheets were dirty with magic marker streaks. And 3) when checking in, We had to wait until 6:30 because the the communication wasn’t there regarding the code or any info. Lady at the front said she couldn’t help us and had no way of knowing who owned 902. She even said “ oh I hope you all haven’t been scammed”. Why would someone put that in our heads on a family Vaca. Disappointing……
