Secluded Florida Beach Bungalow

The Spotted Grouper is a delightful secluded Florida beach bungalow surrounded by twisted Sand Live Oaks. We are located on Bald Point beside Alligator Point, FL in a small, quiet beach neighborhood along the Forgotten Coast, surrounded by Bald Point State Park.
The house is 100 yards from the Gulf - to get there just walk down Grouper Street to the water-there are no streets to cross. It is a very secluded natural beach with lots of sea life where you can enjoy all the beauty of nature. You have gulf views from the living room as well as the porch and patio and the sound of the ocean can lull you to sleep at night. The fishing is fantastic, as are the local restaurants and seafood markets. The house is at ground level so you don't have stairs to climb which makes it very convenient for carrying suitcases and groceries into the home. It sleeps 6 with 1 queen bed and 1 double bed and also has a sleeper sofa in the LR.
We are 45 miles south of Tallahassee, 340 miles due south of Atlanta. The Spotted Grouper makes a perfect getaway if you like a quiet area that DOESN'T have a crowded beach with abundant wildlife and nature reminiscent of "Old Florida".

Perfect Hideaway
If you are looking for a secluded and quiet environment but with the charm of old Florida, this is your place. All the amenities you want are on site and it’s a close enough drive to other interests and activities. We loved it.

Another Great Stay!
My husband and I had another great stay at the Spotted Grouper. Sharee is an awesome host and so easy to work with. Our only "complaint" was that our stay was too short :) We wished we would have had the time to stay longer. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing get away, this is the place!

The whole process with Sheree was easy! The bungalo was cozy, a great place to relax. Good fising on the adjacent beach. It was quiet, and perfectly secluded for us. We will definately rent the bungalo again.

Really nice place!
It was a really nice place where we stayed. All the comfort of home. Had a few problems when we got there but got them worked out. The only toblem I saw was the access to the beach was not ideal but we made the best of it.

Spotted Grouper Return Visit
We enjoyed our return visit to the Spotted Grouper. The sunrises, beach walks, visits to the state park and just relaxing were exactly what we needed. The house is so comfortable and we felt at home. We love the "old" Florida feel!

I absolutely love the spotted grouper. It is my favorite vacation destination.
If you are looking for peace, and quiet, and a comfortable Bungalow close to the beach, the spotted grouper is the perfect getaway spot. The house is kept very clean, and has a very warm feel to it. I love the living beach, and the easy to wade in water. I highly recommend staying at the Grouper.

A perfect beach stay
We love our trip and had the best time. The cottage is so cute and really well done. Very vintage but everything is fresh and clean. The beach is a minutes walk away and is perfect for families as the water is shallow and gentle. We took our four boys and they loved every minute.

The spotted grouper was a perfect slice of of old florida. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. Beach access was a quick walk and the outdor shower made a nice refreshing touch. Neighbors and neighborhood were quiet. The host was great as well easy to get ahold of in need be. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.

The property itself was great! It truly felt like a home away from home. Sheree was WONDERFUL! The only negative was simply the water of the Gulf which I believe was from all of the previous storms. I would 100% recommend the property, especially if you are into nature and fishing!
