In addition there is a beautiful outside deck of 1,500 sq. feet, a fire pit, Jacuzzi and outdoor barbecue, plus gorgeous lawns, butterfly gardens, and hiking trails and private relaxation spots right on the property that feature gorgeous views, and peaceful tranquility. Perfect for large families, large groups, or multiple families as the home provides large bedrooms with lots of privacy. Updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, over 3,600 sq. ft of interior living space, Palomar Vista Lodge will come to be your luxurious mountain getaway with friends and family for years to come. We are only 2 miles from the entrance of Palomar Mountain State Park, and 3 miles from the Palomar Observatory. In addition, we have 5 casinos within 20 miles if you want to enjoy some great entertainment, a great value meal, and take your chances at the tables or slot machines. Serving San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties, we are about an hour to an hour and a half from all points in Southern California, but you will feel like you are in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Awesome Friends Getaway
Perfect place to get away with your friends and kids. There was so much to do in the house the boys had a blast. Wonderfully remote with an amazing view and relaxing jacuzzi on the deck. The place had all the kitchen accessories needed to make lovely meals and definitely enough space for all 16 of us. Would definitely return!

This home was perfect for our annual family trip. The kids loved playing outside and exploring the property. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was very comfortable. The views are incredible! We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway!
We had an amazing time! The home was beautiful and accommodated our large party very well. You can't beat the view! Sitting around the fire pit on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and taking in the scenery and the peace and quiet was such a treat. We enjoyed exploring around the property and even got to play in the snow. The home was so well stocked. Everything was set up so nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back!! Only drawback was that the wifi wasn't great.

Great place for a family gathering
We got our family together for our annual stay. This is, by far, the best place we found to stay in several years. There’s lots of room, very clean, very well equipped. And we had quite a bit of snow left over from the week before so the kids had a lot of fun sledding. We never left the property during the four days we were there.

Life changing
I had the most profound experience at Michael's humble home. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love he and the land had been cultivating together. There's real magic happening at this place and it pulled at the heart cords of everyone in my party. I personally can say I had a life changing experience that will stick with me until my final days. Michael really goes above and beyond the call of duty with his warm greeting and presence if anything happens to come up. I'm so happy to have had the privilege of experiencing this slice of heaven he's carved out. You will be blown away by all this land has to offer and be glad you chose to stay. Spectacular views and solitude
Our stay at this property was fantastic and relaxing. The property is large enough to take strolls around the ponds and running streams. Michael was very communicative from the moment we first got in touch and took the time to really answer any questions that we had. The one issue we had was that the jacuzzi was not working upon our arrival however Michael made it a point to make it right by us and I really appreciated that. Will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great host, Great location, Great place!
We booked Michael's property for a weekend getaway with family & friends for president's day weekend. Right from the start Michael made our trip comfortable and easy with his great communication and hospitality. On the day of check-in, he made sure the driveway was well plowed for our group to arrive with no issues! He is very passionate about the property and Palomar Mountain and gave us many great tips on how to enjoy the lodge as well as the beautiful scenery around us. The property was huge and had many great amenities for my group to enjoy. From playing games in the game room, sledding down in the snow, to enjoying the sunrise by the lake, there were so many things to enjoy during our visit. The property was clean and cozy and we only hope Michael allows us to visit again in the future!

Winter Holiday Vacation
This property is amazing! Our group had 6 adults and 7 children, and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious with a lot of room to spread out. The backyard is huge. We were able to go sledding on the property which was a huge bonus. We definitely hope to visit again.

Michael was excellent and his place/property just as amazing. Got over a foot of snow on Christmas and all had our first white Christmas an hour from home! Sledded down large sections, snowball fights, snow angels and of course a snowman family. The house was perfect for our multi family stay. Fires in multiple rooms, blackjack, ping pong, kids room sleepovers, elaborate meals in the fully stocked kitchen, and good ol fashioned conversation around the kitchen table. Couldn’t endorse this place enough. If Michael would allow us we might make this an annual tradition. :)

Thanksgiving weekend 11/28/19 to 12/1/19
We drove to Palomar Mountain on Thursday 28 th through snow showers. Michael had provided a Welcome Package several days before with all the instructions to the property and amenities. On Friday, we had a lot of snow. Michael went out of his to check with his neighbors and find a snow plow. The driveway was plowed and that allowed several of the family members to make it up to the property. Saturday and Sunday was wonderful with snow all around. The property is well stocked, with 2 kitchens, 2 refrigerators, plenty of cutlery and other utensils for 16 of us. We had no problem cooking. There is a pool /ping pong table combo , plenty of games as well as washer and dryer. The rooms were great with 2 masters sized bedrooms with bathrooms. The layout with 2 lounges was plenty for 16 adults. Thanks to Michael, our family had a good time. Sree

Amazing view. Refreshing weekend away.
The deck, jacuzzi, view, and ponds make it a perfect place to get away and relax. Check-in process is very simple and house in great shape. Although there were a few items missing in the kitchen, the property manager was very responsive and remedied things immediately. Although kitchen and dining room were somewhat tight for our group of 14 adults, the warmth of the house and view mean we will be back!

AMAZING PROPERTY
The pictures don’t do this gorgeous property justice! We felt like we were in a Snow White fairy tale while walking on the grounds, complete with magical deer crossing through. We had our church retreat at this beautiful property, and it was perfect. Michael was extremely generous and the staff he left for us to contact was on top of everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back :)

Hidden Oasis!
We had our bridal party stay here the night before and the night of our wedding. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and so beautiful! It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to prepare for our wedding. The views are beyond compare and the surroundings are equally as beautiful! I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are considering it! You won't be disappointed!
