"We booked this property for 2 nights. Our family was separated (2 in Lagos PT and 4 in Barcelona ES). We traveled to Tarifa to meet, spend a day in Tangier and travel together to Lagos. Our arrival was fraught with miscommunication. David did not answer the phone. He eventually sent a text asking us to talk with his agent, Maria. Maria also only spoke Spanish, so we communicated via WhatsApp and Google translate. After 45-60 minutes, we were able to meet and get the keys. The apartment was as...

"El lugar tiene unas vistas hermosas pero estaba lejos de la playa, tienes q usar el coche para todo , la limpieza regular , encontramos cristales debajo de la cama , no había suficiente menaje de cocina , habían sólo dos toallas de baño ( nosotros éramos cuatro personas ) , en vez de papel higiénico nos dejaron papel de cocina, el trato con la propietaria no fue agradable ."

Just an fyi- We copied and pasted the address into Google maps, which was a mistake. It took us to Gibraltar, if you click on the address from the app it takes you to where you need to go! "

"Lovely hotel surrounded by a nice garden. Many seating areas to relax and have a drink, chat or play a game. (Early) check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with many choices. Initially we got a key to a standard (poolside) room which was outdated. Highly recommend upgrading as our main building room was very nice. Personally I liked the historical look of the hotel with marble stairs, wooden floors and wrought iron."

Don't judge this book by its cover...

"Very unassuming from the outside, but with a spectacular interior. A wonderful lady at the reception. Conveniently located if you want to explore the old town and/or catch the ferry for a day trip to Morocco. For a fee, the hotel offers parking in an underground car park about 150 meters away - the only space available was too narrow for my midsize SUV, but there is an excellent public parking garage with valet service also just 150 meters away, and even slightly cheaper than what you would pay at the hotel."

Excellent staff, fantastic breakfast !

"Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, great room with a very nice balcony. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, plenty of cooked options, good coffee. Lots of areas to sit and relax, it is a lovely hotel. Very close to the train station. I can highly recommend Hotel Mir Octavio and I would stay again"
