"The villa has a great view of the lake and is extremely quiet. It’s secluded but still close to the main road and we felt like it was a safe area The directions provided by the owner are good but it is hard to find at night. The furniture, bedding and amenities are pretty old but we were not expecting 5 star. We loved Nuevo Arenal compared to the very touristy La Fortuna but there are of course more activities there. Overall very happy with the villa"

"We had a fabulous two days at Finca La Anita. Pablo and Ana were fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed learning from their knowledge of all things Costa Rican, especially the history and quality of chocolate and coffee. We stayed in cabin 8 which was comfortably rustic with a refrigerator. We found the temperature in mid Feb to be approx 10 degrees C cooler than the coast. Travel by SUV is best as the road is quite rough at times. The home cooked meals were authentic, yummy and filling. We loved both the peacefullness, the nature and the birds at Finca La Anita. Many thanks Pablo and Ana, we are already looking forward to our next visit."

"A nice room with a nice patio overlooking the lovely and large garden. Breakfast was nice and they didn't mind that we arrived late. We enjoyed going just next door to the puma rescue center to see many indigenous animals. This place was great for a night after arriving LIR airport before we kept going on our Costa Rica vacation."

"This was a really lovely Eco-friendly hotel. Dinner was excellent, gourmet quality. Great breakfasts. Staff was attentive and friendly. They have their own private trail on which we were able to take a night walk / wildlife tour. Highly recommended! It’s quite close by car to Bijagua where there were restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Close to Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio and the Rio Celeste. We also enjoyed the private trails at Helaconia Lodge where we spotted a troop of spider monkeys. "

"I loved my stay at La Mansion. Christopher and the rest of the staff was so helpful and genuinely kind. The room was spacious and beautiful. The property and view was gorgeous. Waking up to the lake view and rainforest sounds every morning was heavenly. I didn’t get a chance to hike down to the lake because the rain was in predictable the morning we tried to do that. Breakfast was okay, not too many healthy options. Dinner options were okay. The Cesar salad was amazing! Although it’s a lil drive from places like La Fortuna, I would definitely stay here again. "
