"We have just returned from Les Contamines. There were 2 families (4 adults and 4 children) and the space was excellent. The children particularly enjoyed the table football and table tennis. The communal space in the kitchen, lounge and dining area was large enough to cater for all of us . The beds were comfortable and clean and the bathrooms were immaculate with the added bonus of a bath, which the children enjoyed on their return from skiing. "The chalet was perfect for 4 or 5 adults. The third double bedroom was a little too small and cosy for two adults sharing. Charming rustic decor and ambience, with lovely touches like unusual candles; kitchen beautifully equipped - even a salad spinner - all appliances were top quality. "We had a great week. The chalet is really close to the lifts which take you up to the La plagne ski area but you can also really easily cross to Les arcs. Montchavin is low so I don’t think the nursery slope in front of the chalet is often open but when it is you could ski almost to the door! Village is small but has a few restaurants (including the one run by the host - La bovate- which had delicious food!), small supermarket, bakery and ski hire places - everything you need unless you need...

"The property is cosy and very characterful. We found it a bit 'tired' and in need of some freshening up, for example the kitchen equipment and crockery, table cloth, etc. It was disappointing that some of the basics were not provided such as rubbish bags, some loo rolls. The ski-lift was very quaint (with a very friendly and helpful attendant - Lindy) but it was more than 200m away from the chalet (about 400m) and it would have been helpful to know the opening times in advance in order to help...
