The Amber House has a very friendly and homely feel to it, I found it a very enjoyable stay and as a solo traveller as my room was a good size and very comfortable.If the weather is nice they have a lovely garden to sit out in and also a ' honesty bar' which has a nice selection in it. I thoroughly recommend you stay here if you're ever in Paignton.

Home from home
The proprietors are very friendly and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped with a large shower (room Agatha). It's in an excellent location both for the beach, town centre and harbour. There is also a nice garden with nice new garden furniture. We like it so much that we have been going for the last 5 years.

A lovely stay with stunning views.
A fantastic stay at amber house. Rooms very clean, lovely bathrooms and fantastic view! We stayed in the ‘harbour’ room which was a double room, single room and bathroom. Fantastic set up for us with our daughter who got her own room with the security of both rooms being behind the one door so all safe and secure. Lovely breakfast and my hubby asked for extras on his fry up which was no trouble at all. My only suggestions is, a notice somewhere in the room with the Wi-Fi password . The double bed in the room was a little on the small side, and maybe a blackout blind as well as the slat blinds as it was very light in the morning. Absolutely fantastic views , great location with walking distance to Paignton and goodrington beaches. A fantastic stay and I’m sure we’ll be back. Will also recommend you to family and friends.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and certainly give Amber House a homely feel and it's got a lovely little garden plus i love their 'honesty bar' a really great idea 😁 It's located in a quiet location but you're only a 10 minute walk to Paignton Harbour and the seafront plus it's only a short walk to the steam train station as well.

Just back from a lovely weekend in Devon. The highlight being our stay at The Amber House Paignton. The hosts Debbie and Paul were so warm and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the home cooked breakfast second to none. Would definitely recommend.
