Love this place. Room was immaculate, the garden was beautiful and perfect for morning yoga and coffee. It's set up with everything you could need (beach towels, snorkeling etc.) short walk to Paia with great restaurants and shopping. There is a beautiful cove nearby where the giant turtles come to rest on shore. It was a haven for me. Thank you!

Magnolani Inn is the place to stay in Maui
We arrived here for an 8-day cycling vacation of Maui. It's a 15 minute walk to the quaint town of Paia. We were able to buy everything we needed to feed ourselves. Occasionally, we would eat at some of the restaurants. Paia wasn't as busy and touristy as we had been warned about. Dave welcomed us on late arrival and showed us around the property. The room was spotlessly clean and the furnishings and appliances were high-end. The air conditioner was quiet, there was no road or air noise. It seemed like we had found our sanctuary. Unfortunately, there was some barking from dogs and we could hear our neighbours coming and going late at night and early in the morning. Dave was very understanding and helped simmer things down a bit. However, if you are light sleepers, we would recommend ear plugs. The carport is right outside the front door and people upstairs seem to wake up before six if they are going to work or seeing the sunrise at the nearby volcano summit or Road to Hana. We would stay there again for the tranquil setting, hot tub, facilities, location and host.

Relaxing stay on a beautiful property
I had a great 8 night stay at the mangolani inn. The room was really well appointed with interesting artwork and high quality furniture. It was spotlessly clean. The grounds are very relaxing with a fountain, tropical plants, coconut and banana trees. It is a cool place to hang out and relax. I used the open air kitchen which like everything else was top quality and perfectly clean. Dave is a relaxed and friendly host and a perfectionist (in a good way) about his property. The walk to the center of town is about 10 minutes, where there are lots of eating options. One block away is one of the best breakfast places around. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Perfect Paia sanctuary
Dave & his family have created such a beautiful place to relax & recharge in Maui’s beach town of Paia. The design of the property is a delightful mix of bechy bohemian & seaside luxury. A quick walk to town & the beach is definitely an added bonus. I can’t wait to come back!

The Mangolani Bay is he perfect place to escape to! Close to town and the beach and the studio apartment we stayed in was beautiful! Dave was very helpful and welcoming! Stay in or go out to eat? You’re covered! With access to many restaurants nearby as well as having full access to a stove; bbq/grill; microwave; toaster oven; etc, the choice is yours! Absolutely loved it!

Spacious clean studio
We stayed here 6 nights and were very comfortable. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The grill and kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also walked the .5 miles to Paia town several times for lunch or dinner. We loved the convenient setup for the washer/dryer, beach gear and extra towels/supplies when we needed something. Dave is a great host and is super responsive. Highly recommended.

Affordable luxury
Stayed for the second time in Paia, Jan 2019,at the Mangolani and was really impressed (again). The suite was beautifully maintained, comfortable and just what the doctor ordered for rest and relaxation. The hosts could not have been more attentive, and the grounds are immaculate and such an oasis of nature. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking to unwind, slow down and enjoy the magic of the north coast of Maui.

Tranquil suite in paradise!
We stayed at the Mangolini Inn last week and had a wonderful stay. The property is private and beautifully landscaped. Parking can be tricky in Paia so it was really nice to be able to walk into town. The suite is beautifully decorated and very clean, especially the bathroom. The king bed is very comfy! You won’t be disappointed if you book this suite. Can’t wait to some back!

Private retreat in paradise
My husband and I stayed here in early December and it was our first trip to Maui. We loved it here at Mangolani Inn and would definitely stay here the next time we visit Maui. Paia is a beautiful laid back town away from the crazy tourist areas of Maui. There is an excellent coffee shop down the road, great places for breakfast, and an excellent health food/grocery store that is better than Wholefoods! We had breakfast on the covered outdoor table nearly every morning and felt like we were in a tropical paradise. Dave and the onsite manager were so lovely and helpful - giving us tips on where to go for great mexican, which sights to see and cutting up coconuts for us to drink! The resident dogs Chia, Coco and Lucky and cat Tassie were also an excellent welcoming committee!! The apartment was spotlessly clean and tidy and the bed was so comfy! There was a great kitchen in the apartment and also an outdoor kitchen with coffee machine, and gas stove. The only thing missing was a TV but there was Wifi access available. The laundry was fantastic and there were also beach towels available. We highly recommend you stay here!!

Sweet Spot
Awesome stay at the Mangolani in late April. This was our first trip to Maui and Paia was by far our favorite spot, don't think we would stay anywhere else on the island (though to be fair, we did a lot of exploring but didn't get a chance to venture to the westside), we felt it was a perfect central location especially if you want to drive around looking for surf (or whatever!). If you are looking for a relaxed, non-touristy vacay, this is the way to go. Dave and Nyla are both super chill and always willing to answer questions or dish out suggestions for places to go, eat, etc. Their property feels really private despite being right on Baldwin Ave. and has everything you could possibly need for your stay, plus its beautiful and meticulously well kept. Restaurants and shopping are definitely walkable, which is crucial since parking in town can be little rough. Hana Foods is dope, as is the little market a few blocks towards town on Baldwin (for beers and other bevies) and the yoga shala up the street has a great little organic cafe, Island Fresh, that serves breakfast and lunch. I could go on and on, bottom line- this is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in Paia surrounded by natural beauty and positive vibes! Animal lovers: be forewarned, it may be difficult to leave the Mangolani, as the three resident dogs and cat are super cute! Mahalo to Dave, Nyla, and Max for sharing your beautiful property and making our first trip to Maui a memorable one!!!

Truly a Tropical Sanctuary!
Besides the beautiful property, spacious and clean units, it's the little things that I appreciated most. The approachability of the owners, and the tips of where to see what best in the area. Suggestions for restaurants. The rolling, covered shopping cart, in case you walk into town and shop for groceries. The thirsty, plush bath towels and beach towels. Washer/dryer AND detergent on site for guests' use. The beach equipment for guests to use....a hairdryer in the unit that is better than mine at home! Fully stocked kitchen, and shared cooking area with everything we could possibly need. Soap/shampoo/conditioner, dish soap....high quality bedsheets....we felt like VIP's. Thank you, Dave & Nyla, for a perfectly wonderful stay, in every way. Ideally located and like being at home (only BETTER!), don't hesitate to book Mangolani Inn when you plan a trip to Maui.

Great location, beautifully well maintained with friendly owners.
Had a great stay here. Dave is a great host and the property is well maintained and appears to be getting updates regularly. Short and easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach in Pai'a. Great location to head to Hana or Upcountry. Island Fresh Cafe is a great breakfast stop and is just a very short walk up the block. My wife would absolutely stay here again next time we visit Maui.

Great location, well appointed, and clean
We had a wonderful stay at the Mangolani Inn in our studio apartment. The location was perfect, just walking distance from downtown. The apartment was clean and I mean clean. This is not like other vacation homes where you feel like you are literally walking into someone's home after they left for work for the day. It is clean like a hotel. We really appreciated that. We also appreciated the attention to the environment with energy efficient appliances and the use of natural soaps like Mrs. Myers Clean Day. The kitchenette has everything you need to cook a full meal. Including sharp Wustof knives and Vitamix blender. But, we didn't feel like we needed to cook because there is a great natural foods market down the street called Mana that has a salad bar and a hot foods bar. Plus, there are great restaurants in Paia town. Dave and Nyla (the owners) and their little boy are very nice and easy going. We loved interacting with their dog and new puppies. Scott (the property manager) was friendly and helpful and gave us some great tips for places to explore in Maui. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Awesome Maui getaway
Aloha!! We were fortunate to stay at the Mangolani Inn for five days in Jan. 2016. From the first greeting by our gracious host Dave, we were treated to a lovely escape from the rush of modern life. The studio was exceptionally clean, bigger than we thought from the photos and very well equipped. Some original artwork on the walls added to the "island" theme. Our host also has almost everything you could want for a beach trip, picnic or whatever. The communal BBQ, and outdoor kitchen made for a nice place to meet any of the other guests in an informal setting. Keep in mind that this is a family dwelling, not a hotel, and that includes a lovable dog. Dave shared much of the property's fresh fruits with us including 'to die for' bananas, passion fruit and fresh-off-the-tree coconut water! The location is perfect for short walks to Paia for shopping, restaurants or access Baldwin Beach. Dave was very helpful and a great source for local tips for first time visitors like ourselves. The grounds are lush, and very well kept. You are well sheltered from the majority of the street noise from Baldwin Ave. Paia was a hoot! Laid back surfer/hippie vibe mixed with some quality galleries and stores offering more than the typical tourist offerings. Proximity to the airport and the north shore make this a very special location all round. Mana foods just down the road has an unbelievable variety of produce, and foods of all kinds. Need a break to recharge the batteries? Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! Mahalo Dave and Nyla. We would love to return! soon!
