"It's a beautiful place, gardens and flowering trees kept in immaculate condition. A really nice pool and jacuzzi, and an easy walk to the black sand beach. The staff are friendly and helpful and the apartment was great, well equipped with everything we needed including laundry. I definitely recommend ..."

"Love the area. House is clean, but walls, ceilings and corners to be dusted. And the shower curtain was moldy. Other then that WE love staying in a OG plantation house it brings so much memories of our grandparents who lived in plantation homes just like these. Thank you Julia."

Nice Quiet Place
"if you're looking for a quite place to stay, this is the place. It's pretty remote here. The nearest town is 10 minutes away. The lanai has a view of the ocean. The place itself was clean. Kitchen had the basics for cooking. Also had plastic wrap and plastic bags. There was even some pancake mix. ..."

No restaurants in Pahala however a nice 7 mile drive to the town of Naalehu takes care of this matter.

It is a quiet, small town in a beautiful spot that exemplifies a different time on Hawaii. That does cut both ways a bit, though, of course, don't come out expecting bright lights and show tunes.
