"It is a nice peaceful resort. The staff especially in the resurant and pool side was so nice and friendly. The main drawback with this resort is it's not a good place during rainy season as it's on the bank of estuary. As the river water comes with force during rainy season the sea is muddy and cannot swim or play in the sea. The next thing is that the staff in the reception have no answer for anything you ask. "Property is a nice place. The service was very slow and bad. Checked in and was told there is a power failure, power will be up in 20mins and after an hour, power is not up yet. Checked in the room for stay with my sister, was only given one bath towel in the room. There is no amenity (shower gel n shampoo) TOP up on day 2. When we went to the pool and the beach, ask for pool/beach towel and was told they have run out of beach towel, ask for bathe towel instead and never arrive. Wifi was very...

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Not clean. Internet very bad. Owner said she would not purchase more gigabytes that I was downloading. I told her I wasn’t. Then said I was watching too many videos. There wasn’t a tv for the evening so I did watch some videos but I have never had this problem when I have booked with Expedia at any other property. "We loved everything about this house and the marvelous staff. The house is set in a stunning garden with a spotless pool right on the beach at Gintota. The hpuae is beautifully appointed with 4 lovely bedrooms, a lounge, dining room and tv room. The staff were excerional and catered to all our needs. The food they prepared is the best I have eaten in 5 trips to Sri Lanka. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Bart for the use of the house and the service we received from your spectacular...

Do not stay here

"Do not stay here, possibly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was barely functional, the glass to the balcony was majorly cracked, the bathroom barely stocked with 1 towel and a tiny piece of soap, the fridge was dirty and broken, we had wires coming out of the wall where lights were suppose to be. The food at breakfast was disgusting, I asked for a clean table and they proceeded to seat us at a dirty table without any effort to clean it and left the previous guests dirty napkins! I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is supposedly 4 stars. It should be shutdown. "
