We loved our time in Packwood!
The home is clean, beds were comfortable, and it is convenient to Packwood. My favorite thing was drinking my coffee on the front porch and watching the elk wonder around. Hope to come back one day!

Really nice rental.
Best place we've stayed in Packwood to date. Very well thought out and spacious. Well stocked, and really comfortable space. Could easily accommodate two families of four, and our single family of four was able to really relax here.

Packwood is great.
The house was clean and comfortable with a bonus of being able to watch an elk herd from the front deck. Within walking distance was restaurants, breweries, and gift shops. We highly recommend this home.

Very nice house, close in to packwood
Very clean, very well stocked, very close to town, very comfortable and spacious. I can't say enough good things about this house. Literally, everything was as good as it can get for a short term rental. The house was super clean and comfortable, and the beds were the most comfortable we've ever had in a rental. Will definitely be staying here again.

Mt Rainier NP Hiking
Stone's Throw is just as advertised! Very clean, organized and inviting with space to spread out and space to gather together. A nice distance from Paradise and Longmire. Jason is a great host who communicated well prior to and during our stay. We highly recommend Stone's Throw when staying in Packwood, WA.

Everything New and Clean
We had a great family trip here. There were a lot of small details that made this stay above and beyond. From board games, to Lincoln logs, to welcome snacks, this was a noticeably more pleasant stay than many of our past rentals. Every bed was comfy, many of the switches/remotes etc had labels to make it easy to figure out, and every kitchen item was clean and seemed brand new. Owner was highly communicative and this place had plenty of outside space for the kids to run around, when we weren’t up in the mountains.

Family Fun House
Our family had a lot of fun & made some great memories while at this house. The ping pong table and shuffle puck table were a great addition to a rental. After getting tired from hiking during the day, we had some activities to fill our evenings. The only downside to this property is the small size of the shower in the Master. The deep soaking tub was nice. Overall this house was very nice and well-stocked with pots/pans/dishes and utensils. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a friend come visit us from the UK to our home in Texas. She was over on a two leg trip with the second leg being to visit with friends of hers in Centralia. I booked the lodge as a formal “handover” point that she immediately christened “The Amandover “. The lodge is beautiful! Excellently equipped and extremely comfortable with amazing views and at least one herd of Elk roaming free. It’s a short walk to all the local amenities in Packwood and just a short drive from Mount Rainier national park. In short - stunning scenery and superb accommodation - highly recommended

New Home with game room
Wonderful clean comfortable new house, and fun game room a plus. Road noise as house backs up right next to Skate Creek Hwy and neighborhood is being developed, a minus. However, one block to Cowlitz River park access, a couple of miles to Skate Creek park natural area with beautiful trails for easy hikes, close to Packwood, and Mt. Rainier was a plus.

Packwood Paradise
We stayed here for three nights with another family, and everything about our stay was fantastic. Excellent communication with the owner, a lovely little welcome basket with treats that the kids devoured, and the house itself was amazing. It's rare that a property is BETTER in person than what's shown online, but that's how this house felt. The pictures don't do it justice. Beds were comfy, kitchen was very well-stocked, and there were ample towels and dishes and everything we needed. (As silly as it sounds, I was thrilled to find so many hooks! There was never a shortage of places to hang our coats in the entry, or our towels in the bathroom.) Every little detail has been thought out and taken care of. Truly an exceptional property and we can't wait to return!

Packwood Relaxing
Stayed here for a few nights on our tour of the Northwest and couldn't have been more pleased. Packwood is a small, quant town with a small grocery store and several places to eat and grab drinks. Chill atmosphere. As for the house the neighborhood was very nice. gates community. Short walk to the river. Able to walk to town. Had elk in the front yard. Fire pit in the back. House was super nice, and comfortable. Plenty of room for family dining, and game time around the table. Nice front porch for sitting and relaxing with a cocktail in the evening. Overall would definitely recommend if you're staying in the area.

WONDERFUL!!
This is honestly one of the greatest VRBO houses I have ever stayed at. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all things necessary, and extra things. I really appreciate when a host understands that you might be flying into town, and therefore unable to bring a lot of things from home. There was shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, baggies- just lots of little things that were really helpful. There was a wonderful binder that filled you in on all things Packwood and surrounding area. Everything was very well labeled as well. Just a really wonderful stay!!!! We skied at White Pass each day and that was only 20 minutes away and an easy drive. The grocery store in town has a lot of supplies and isn't overly priced. I highly recommend this house for you and your family!!!

Great Property, Close to Town
Highly recommend, especially for multi-generational families. Walking distance to both Packwood and the Cowlitz river. Elk wandered through subdivision every morning! Really enjoyed the ping pong and shuffleboard tables, as well as the hot tub. Super clean and organized, with clear labeling of kitchen cabinets (a nice touch). Overall, a great experience!

Great place for a ski weekend
Our group had a wonderful time while in town for the weekend to ski. The house was plenty of space for four couples, the kitchen was well stocked, and the game room/garage was a huge hit. Would definitely come back!

Great house in Packwood
We stayed 2 nights. My wife and I brought our 2 daughters, one husband and one grandson, 8 years old. The house is new, clean and well equipped. Unfortunately the hot tub was not hooked up yet. Jason, our host, was great and very accommodating. The location is very good. Most of us skied, but my wife enjoyed the nearby park and walking trails.
