Beautiful, Cozy, Riverfront A-Frame Cabin+Hot tub

Beautiful riverfront mid-century modern A frame cabin for year round fun! Close to skiing in White Pass, Mount Rainier and Mount Saint Helen National Parks, amazing fishing on the Cowlitz river.
Light filled open living space, wood burning stove, BOSE surround sound, Smart TV, high speed wireless internet, leather sectional, hot tub, big deck, gas BBQ, man cave with pool table/mini fridge/50" 4K TV, washer & drier, 80 gal water heater, air conditioning, fully fenced yard, hammocks, and more.
The space
Luxury A-frame cabin for year round fun! 35 minutes from skiing in White Pass, 30-40 minutes from Mount Rainier and Mount Saint Helen National Parks, and 2 minute walk right from the backyard to amazing fishing on the Cowlitz river or a refreshing dip; this cabin has it all. With 2 full standard bedrooms, a large sleeping loft, and a game and entertainment room, this cabin can sleep up to 11 people. The master bedroom has a king bed, there is a queen in the other bedroom, and then a queen and 2 twins in the loft with an extra twin if needed, plus a queen size futon in the rec room, and a queen aerobed you can use by the fireplace. (Please note - there are not 4 separate bedrooms, but two bedrooms, a loft, 2 complete bathrooms, and a game room with futon!) The beautiful deck off of the kitchen comes with a gas BBQ and plenty of outdoor patio seating, complete with night time twinkle lights. A new seven person hot tub has been recently added to the property, and we also have a hammock, swing and zipline in the back yard. The mudroom on the bottom floor has plenty of space to store your ski or hiking gear. The rec room on the bottom floor comes with a pool table, ping pong, and a 50" 4K TV and a mini fridge to keep your drinks cold. The cabin sits steps away from the the river front, for excellent fishing and hiking by the Cowlitz river.

The open space living room comes equipped with a cast iron wood burning stove, a brand new Italian leather sectional couch, a 32" flat screen TV with BOSE surround sound, a dvd player (with a fully stocked film collection), HD Smart TV, and a table with seating for up to 10 people. From the living room you can gaze out of the floor to ceiling windows that encompass a whole side of the A-Frame to admire the beautiful forest and river beyond. The cabin comes all ready with plenty of wood for the fireplace, already chopped and ready to be burned. The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, spices, coffee and latte bar, and kitchen utensils.

The cabin has been recently outfitted with a high efficiency 80 gallons hot water heater so you can have plenty of hot showers after a long day on the slopes. The cabin also comes with air conditioning for those hot summer days.
Summer renters can also access the community's swimming pool and 9 holes golf course for a small fee ($10pp swimming pool and $40pp to play golf for the day as many times as you like, to be paid at the club house, approximately 1.5 miles from the cabin).

*** I am including this year because we receive numerous requests to use this cabin as a wedding venue for small weddings and elopement. We are able to offer the cabin for those types of small events, but there is a surcharge.

Mount Rainier
Quaint cottage on river close to Mt Rainier National Park. 6 adults stayed and it was perfect for our needs. Even better if you have kids! Every amenity was thought of! Owners gracious and genuine.

Nice cabin, beautiful area, hot tub is key
Me, my wife, and 3 friends stayed in this cabin for 4 nights during a ski trip to White Pass. The area is beautiful and the cabin backs onto the Cowlitz River (1-2 minute walk with fence/gate) so you can see and hear the river from the back yard. We spent a lot of time hot tubbing during the trip which was exactly what we were looking for in the winter. The house itself was in good shape, exactly as described and outfitted with all the usual kitchen stuff you’d need to cook (you probably would want to cook given limited food options in Packwood). Overall we had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Quiet get away
Pros: - lovely welcome snack tray - lots of kids toys and board games - kitchen was well stocked with good pans/dishes/essential cooking items - king bed is glorious and so comfortable - bath towels were great - perfect location for accessing Mt Rainier - easy access to the river - friendly neighbors - plenty of space for our party of 6 - lots of classic VHS and DVDs to choose from Cons: - hot tub was not available for use until 12+ hours after arrival - delayed coordinating access to the country club pool - faucet in first floor bathroom rotates, but is functional - bigger coffee pot would be helpful - second bedroom bed was very uncomfortable and sloped in the middle - main light in the sitting area was not plugged in and no access to an outlet - zip line could use some oiling

Wonderful Christmas Cabin
This was a perfect place for our family to celebrate Christmas together. The space was large enough to support our big group and there were lots of games and room for the kids to play. We would love to come back!

Great location
We loved the location. The house is older and could use an update. we had to wash alot of the dishes when we arrived and some dishes were in the dishwasher still. Just seemed pricey with all the extra fees and still having to clean upon our arrival. Overall we had alot of fun and the river was right in front of us so it was beautiful. Probably won't stay again just because of the fees.

Family getaway!
We had a wonderful time at this A frame house. The best part of the property is its location on the Cowlitz River. The sounds of the rushing river and mountains right there were breathtaking. The house was also well stocked with pantry items, dishes, and random items we needed. Plenty of toys and books for the kids too! The bathrooms were beautiful and the hot water always lasted even after 8 people showering. We also loved how the cabinets were labeled so you can find things- the little things matter! Thank you for a great place for our family from across the country to come to the mountains for a week of fun :)
