This idyllic retreat on 29 acres of woods and wetlands is the perfect getaway for family and friends to enjoy the best of Eastern Shore living. Relax with your morning coffee on the screened-in porch, have cocktails on the dock, or take a paddle on protected Boone Creek. Osprey and eagles nest nearby and fly overhead and every day is a bluebird day.
The main room opens directly onto a screened porch which extends the living space. A private first-floor ensuite bedroom is a highlight of this home. Upstairs provides accommodation for five guests in two bedrooms. An additional twin bed is in a downstairs passageway room.
The small beach and dock are a special place to enjoy the Chesapeake - fishing, kayaking or just hanging out.
A nature trail through the private woods reveals native birds and flora. All of this is private for you and your guests.
Oxford has plenty going on in summer. Ride the Oxford Ferry to Bellevue and St. Michaels. Visit Oxford Town Park to watch the Friday night sailing races. Highland Creamery is famous for its fresh and delicious Ice Cream. The Conservation Park has a .6-mile trail suitable for all ages and abilities.
Oxford also has a variety of restaurants for your dining pleasure.
Please note: Jess and Richard will often be living in a separate building on the property. This makes them available for anything that arises during your stay. If they are not on the property, they will arrange anything you need. There is a mellow and friendly rescue dog named Gus who lives with the owners.
