"We had a fantastic stay at your property. My wife, son, and dog enjoyed sitting on the expansive deck listening and viewing a variety of birds visiting the bird feeder and nearby trees. The kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to cook all of our meals with ease. The layout of the property is well designed giving us more than enough room to enjoy family time and independence. We were in town to see a show at Mountain Stage and the location was perfect to drive in and out of Charleston. We plan to come back and book this property next time we are in the area. "

"Had a great time at the cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin was very quiet and comfortable. We hiked all day in the beautiful New River Gorge, Hawksnest State Park, and Babcock State Park. Saw hundreds of waterfalls after all the rain. The hot tub was just what we needed after long days on the trails. The only thing I would suggest is a hot tub cover lift as the cover was heavy and difficult to get back on. Other than that everything was great. We would definitely return if we come back to the area. eeded "

"This house is perfect for a getaway. Beautiful and spacious. The fire pits make it even better. We enjoyed the property sitting out listening to the river and the rain was so relaxing. I will book here again. Only thing was the claw foot tub in the bathroom just wish it was hooked up to be able to soak in it. "

"I am not sure I describe our trip in words. It was virtually perfect!! When we go home to WV to visit family, we usually stay in a hotel in downtown Charleston. This year we were looking for a unique experience and we hit the jackpot. The whole process was super easy and the owner made it even easier by his willingness to put up with my wide variety of questions, even contacting him while at the property on multiple occasions. The cabin was in great condition, had all the necessary cooking items, we had plenty of room for six adults and two very busy boys under five years old. It had snowed there previous to our visit, then Mother Nature added a few inches while we were there which made the sleigh-riding awesome. I strongly recommend you choose the Serene Mountain Retreat for your next trip to WV. I know it will be as memorable for you and your family as it was for ours!! "
