"We loved our six nights in the Obidos Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the beach, Peniche, Fatima, Batalha, wine tasting and more. The castle are is busy during the day, but so peaceful at night. Rodrigo was the best host I have had (among many rentals on 3 continents). He met us to show us around and was very helpful in helping us both feel at home and explore the region. This 300 year old house was quirky but charming. Don’t hesitate to book!"

"We had a lovely week at Els and Marcel’s apartment which is comprised of a spacious section of their house. The hosts could not have been nicer - they were so friendly and helpful. The apartment is on the ground floor but guests have access to a lovely rooftop terrace which we enjoyed. The countryside is very pretty in this area with loads of birds to watch but it’s also just a short walk into the village where there are cafes and a small market. Altogether a comfortable, peaceful place to stay...

"We loved the location, inside the walls; we enjoyed walking along the castle walls and wandering the twisty, old, cobblestone streets. We found excellent cafes and restaurants within Óbidos and did a day trip by bus to Nazaré. However, the 1 bathroom was tiny- it was challenging to even turn around. The bathroom sink did not have a stopper and I didn’t feel comfortable putting in and cleaning my contact lenses over that little sink. "We had a wonderful stay in the center of Caldas da Rainha! Angelika was a wonderful host, checking in with us and offering suggestions before and during our stay. She even helped me park my car in a very tight space! The apartment was lovely and we felt very much at home.
