"Marvellous old Victorian style, like stepping back in time. Furniture, fixtures, solid wood and stained glass...it was lovely. Having said that, it's an old house and needs constant love. You can see materials for outside repairs will be done, so assume it is being attended to. Could use a some tidying up outside. Enjoyed our breakfast both days we were there."

"Hidden gem in Victoria. We had a full pet friendly one bedroom house with yard and it was perfect. Fridge was stocked with spinnakers beer, cider, and sparkling water, at a very reasonable price."

"We have been here three years in a row now. The views are amazing, either overlooking Beacon Hill park or the Salish Sea. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and decorating with an antique charm. Many have jacuzzi tubs fitted as well. Breakfasts are great, we had eggs with sausage one day, then French toast and then pancakes. Each day with a fruit cup and hash browns and bacon as well, delicious. Easy fifteen minute walk, mostly through Beacon Hill park, to the Royal BC Museum, Parliament...

"Our host, Cathy, was an absolute joy. She was so friendly and helpful. She did whatever she could to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks Cathy! Our room (Hideaway) was clean, very comfortable, and had plenty of space. Everything we needed was available and everything was in good condition. The fireplace worked great and made the room very cozy. The food was exceptional. We had a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast each morning. The additional dining area was great for getting takeout...

"We cannot even say enough about this place. The property is gorgeous, and the hosts are so friendly, they have answers to any questions you may have about the area, history , or dining. If you like to eat, I recommend fasting the day before. I have never had such a breakfast. Do yourself a favour and book here. Take walks. Enjoy the peace. Pet the puppies. "

"Communication from the host was outstanding. The room was clean and cozy. No tv in the room, but we really didn’t care. It was a surprise for my family and they loved it. Perfect if you want a quiet affordable getaway. Walking distance to inner harbor. Breakfast was included and provided by a family owned cafe called Imagine. Your choice of fruit and yogurt or a breakfast sandwich on banock bread… it was called Imagine Cafe and they make an awesome wood fired pizza."
