"The house is beautiful and the wood work is amazing. The first floor bathroom tub needs repair, the tub is cracked and it feels unsafe to stand to shower. The kitchen did not have a can opener; which was needed to open the cans for our Green beans casserole. Thank goodness I live locally because I was able to bring my own pots and pans, casseroles dishes, can opener, and peeler. Also, there was no dishwasher soap and I had to do all the dishes by hand. Overall, we had a wonderful time."

"This house is located in an area that makes it easy to get anywhere you need to go. There are plenty of great places for food and drinks that are within a short walk or drive. Some of my family members felt that the area was unsafe at night but I never felt that way during our stay. The house does not quite live up to the pictures. It needs a super deep clean and to be upgraded generally. However, it is quite a bit cheaper than everything else I looked at so maybe that is the trade off....

"You'll be staying in a historic building that has been converted to apartments. The building is secure and the area feels very safe...just a short 1.5 blocks to the Mississippi riverfront where there is a nice little park and paved paths for recreation. Prior to our arrival, the host did a great job of communicating and providing info on the area. There is also a binder in the unit with additional information that is very well done. No excessive check lists at check out. Items to note...one of...
