"Location - there is a pick up service from jr nakuro onsen station. You need to notify the hotel in advance for the pick up service. Staff- they are very nice. I got off at the wrong jr station. The next train will be an hour later but the hotel staff was already at the station waiting for me. I was very lucky to get some assistance from a local gentleman. "Lovely hotel. My room was large and had a view of the mountains. The onsen is small but has a nice outdoor pool which was delightful in the rain. Staff don't speak a lot of English but used translators to help. The restaurant is very nice with attention to every detail. I would stay here again."

"Overall the property was good, especially for the price. The only downside was the parking was supposed to be free but I was told the garage was full and that i couldnt park there. However, i saw several open spots, but they still did not let me park there. Instead i had to pay for parking that the hotel would not reimburse. "I would highly recommend this ryokan. They were able to provide me with vegan meals, made for myself only. The owners and all staff were friendly and kind. The staff serving out meals were so bubbly and happy! There are many different onsen in this ryokan too. A sauna onsen, a foot onsen, a women's only onsen, a mixed onsen and 3 private onsen (2 of which are on the 4th floor so very nice to watch the sunrise/sunset). Another outdoor onsen away from the property could be used for an extra fee....
