Quiet Shell River Cabin with Sauna

Our Cozy little cabin is the perfect getaway for all seasons. The sauna is an extra treat. The property is close to the tiny town of Osage and the Smokey Hills State Forest. The Shell River runs through the property providing the perfect relaxing background at the campfire. The large oaks provide beautiful green shade in the summer, an array of orange & yellow in the fall and a beautiful place for the frost and snow to settle in the winter.

Relaxing Getaway

Loved everything about this little cabin. It was clean, well-stocked, and adorably-decorated. Easy to find, yet private (long driveway :). Perfect couples getaway! Owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. One of our favorite VRBOs ever, and we've stayed in dozens!

A fantastic weekend at this riverside cabin
Staying at this private river property was very relaxing. It’s just as it appears in the pictures. A perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. The cozy little cabin was well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a charming little sauna which unfortunately we didn’t utilize because we ran out of time. The property owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was perfect. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem.

A secluded peaceful setting
My husband and I enjoyed a couple of days in the area, visiting Itasca and the Mississippi River Headwaters. This little cabin was the perfect place to come home to. We used the Weber charcoal grill for hamburgers and steaks. The kitchen was fantastic.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting my son. It was a perfect little cabin for myself and my 2 sons. Another family member traveled with us but stayed in the camper. We parked it next to the cabin and plugged it in. Overall great cabin!

A wonderful little spot to spend a few days getting away from the Georgia summer! Cabin sits in a grove of bur oaks along the Shell River. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Only about 20 minutes to Itasca State Park and headwaters of the Mississippi—-a very pretty and relaxing spot! Can’t imagine a better trip. Only negative is we couldn’t stay longer. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 10.
