The Almond is a charming 40 sqm suite that is part of a larger apartment located on the first floor of a small building dating back to the early 1700s in the historic center of Orvieto. The property was completely renovated at the end of 2023, using high-quality materials, while striving to preserve, where possible, the traces of the past, including the ancient wooden ceilings, thus creating a delightful contrast between the old and the modern.
Equipped with air conditioning and independent heating, the suite has a warm wooden parquet and consists of a bedroom with wardrobe and private bathroom (toilet, bidet and shower) and a large living room with kitchenette, dining table, island bar and sofa bed. The HD Internet TV, the free WiFi, the Nespresso coffee machine, the kettle, the toaster, the refrigerator, the courtesy set, the towels and the sheets increase the comfort of the structure trying to make our guests feel like they were at home. Guests will also be able to enjoy the tranquillity of the house's private garden located on the ground floor.
The suite is located in the Corsica district, one of the four medieval neighbourhoods into which the historic center of Orvieto is divided.
From the property, the Cathedral, Torre del Moro and Piazza del Popolo, where the characteristic Thursday and Saturday morning market is held, are all within a few minutes’ walk. Exiting the main entrance, a few steps lead to the middle of Corso Cavour, the hub of life in Orvieto, characterized by a succession of bars, restaurants, shops, pastry shops, wine tastings, local craft stores, and supermarkets. Walking down Corso Cavour to the right, you will reach the well Pozzo della Cava, the beautiful Franciscan church of San Giovenale, and the entrance to the “Ring” walk, a beautiful route that circles around the rock on which Orvieto is built, offering great panoramas and nature. Heading left on Corso Cavour, you will reach the well of San Patrizio and the funicular to the train station, where frequent IC and Regional trains can take you to the center of Rome or Florence in about 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing you to take day trips in these beautiful cities.
