Great stay! Francesco was a great host. This place was a great location and easy to get anywhere around the little town.
The apartment was wonderful for our 3 night stay in Orvieto. It was very comfortable and quiet, but close to everything. We loved the courtyard for morning cappuccino and an afternoon glass for of wine. The restaurant he suggested, Trattorii da Carlo, was amazing and shouldn’t be missed.
The location is perfect. The apartment is modern and beautifully designed. It is quiet at night. A short walk to the Duomo and many restaurants and shops. I only wish we could have stayed another night or two!
This apartment is in an ideal location very close to the cathedral as well as the main shopping street. Also, because it is a bit tucked away, it is very quiet at night. The host communicated with us quickly and clearly, and even notified us ahead of time when a special religious festival was rescheduled to take place during our stay. There is a charming courtyard and clean, new furnishings. The cave-like interior has interesting exposed brick. A great place to stay in Orvieto!
We couldn’t have had a better location. Shower was hot … fridge was cold. We even had a chance to love up on the pup next door….”Zeus”.
Francesco was an attentive host.
We loved our stay! What a lovely space. Everything was perfect, and the location was excellent. The private courtyard was such a plus. Palazzo Urbani was everything we hoped it would be. . . and more! Francesco was an excellent communicator and everything was flawless. Thank you. We had a fabulous time in Orvieto!
We had a wonderful time staying at Francesco's lovely apartment in Orvieto. It is a beautifully restored and very well-equipped apartment steps from the duomo, restaurants, and other tourist attractions but tucked in a quaint and quiet side street. There is a lovely private courtyard attached to the apartment and a very modern and well-equipped kitchen.
Francesco could not have been more helpful--always quick to answer questions and make suggestions about restaurants and other activities.
A fantastic place in a beautiful little town!
The apartment was very nice, and the courtyard was an added bonus. Being on the first floor of a centuries old building, I was. a little worried. But it was very nice, with a breeze from the courtyard and the lighting was good. Francesco was very quick to respond for anything. Trattoria di Carlo was a great spot for dinner!
Literally in the center of Orvieto. One block from the Duomo.
The property owner/manager was punctual in the check in and check out meetings. He even offered suggestions for dinners and which were his local favorites. At one, we had the absolute best meal of our 3 week stay in Italy.
Centrally located to everything in Orvieto. Very clean; newly rehabilitated apartment. One long block to the Duomo and a very short block to the main pedestrian only street to the Duomo. There is a spiral staircase to the bedroom loft which may be hard for some tenants
Francesco's lovely one bedroom apartment is in a fabulous location near the Duomo and the main shopping streets. Many wonderful restaurants and cafes nearby. We were especially delighted with Francesco's warmth, hospitality and graciousness during our stay. We recommend anyone who wishes to visit this beautiful city to consider Francesco's lovely apartment.
This apartment is right in the heart of Orvieto. It has all of the amenities that you want and need with room to spread out. Francesco is very responsive to his guests’ needs.
8-night stay to visit daughter who is studying abroad
This apartment was well located and had everything we needed! Just a few minutes walk to almost everything. Couryard was a real bonus! Bed was comfortable and kitchen was well-appointed with the exception of pot-holders. If you want windows and views, won’t be for you, but if you want roomy, historic and steps off the beaten path, you will love it!!
The apartment was just as pictured, tastefully restored and spotlessly.clean. The beauty here is the location. Just steps from everything yet quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Thanks, Francisco!
A beautiful and quaint apartment in the middle of Orvieto. Comes equipped with averything you need including an outdoor patio to sip the wine you picked up at the Enotecca. Francesco was easy to communicate with and close by if needed. Perfect for vouples!
My husband and I loved our stay at this lovely appartment. Francesco is a superb host and made sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. The appartment was clean and is very well designed. We loved the private outdoor space as well. Thank you, Francesco and your family for hosting us!
The historic building that houses this apartment is so conveniently located in Orvieto! It is central to shopping, sites, restaurants. We drove TO Orvieto, but once there, did not need the car, as everything was within walking distance. The apartment itself is comfortable, tho it should be noted the bed is located in a loft accessible via a spiral staircase. It was not an issue for us, but may be for others. We did not cook meals here, so we cannot comment on that, but we did have coffee every morning. Best of all, was the host, Francesco; he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and settled. He helped us navigate the narrow and steep roads typical of Orvieto to park the car (parking being sort of scarce there). He lives nearby, and offered to be of assistance at any time we wanted. We were very happy with this selection and would stay here again if we ever came back to Orvieto.
This apartment provides the perfect location to visit all the wonderful historic site, dining locations and shops. We were very pleased with the apartment atmosphere and amenities. This will be on our recommendation list to family and friends and will return again in the future!
We loved every minute of our stay at Palazzo Urbani and wished we could have stayed longer. Francesco, our warm and welcoming host, has hospitality in his DNA; he was responsive and polite and his attention to detail was evident everywhere! Palazzo Urbani is beautiful; well thought out and well appointed. It is clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished; and, the kitchen looks like it should be in a magazine. Our sincere thanks to our host for making dinner reservations for us at La Grotto and Grotte del Funaro; both really good. Francesco made us feel like family and we look forward to returning to Palazzo Urbani. Five stars all around. Book Palazzo Urbani and meet Francesco. You will be glad you did!
