"We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. "Stayed at this property for multiple days on a trip with my partner. 0 issues what so ever & communication with the host was great. This would be a great place to stay for family coming to visit a student. Set back enough where you won’t get unnecessary noise from parties and such but still well within easy walking distance to the center of town for all of the restaurants. "What a view! We stayed two couples and 1 (18 month old). The house was just a short drive into downtown Ellsworth. Just about 8-10 Minutes to the local restaurants, LLBean outlet, and a wonderful playground/park. The home had comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, recently updated furniture/decor, and an exceptional view. We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend! "

"The house in woods was perfect for our needs. 3 retired nurses and my pup who have been to Maine multiple times. The house was located central to the area we love to explore but away from the busy tourist area. We loved the privacy and quiet. William was terrific about checking in to see if we were doing well.
