The color scheme made the room look bigger. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Costello Del Sol had more conveniences, i.e. microwave, coffee maker. Need more choices for breakfast, hot breakfast. Need another chair inside guest room. Fridge too small and low. Front desk staff lacked knowledge of operation of telephone and tv. Housekeeping staff very rude. Asked for change of towels told by housekeeper it wasn’t her responsibility because she had another room to clean. She did get the towels for us. Pool boy was vacuuming the pool with patrons in it. This task is usually done in the morning when the dirt has settled. I discovered on my on the QR code which outlines room services. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Renovations were definitely an improvement. Thank you, Spark by Hilton at Ormond Beach.

Staff was nice. Roaches found upon arrival in the bathroom. Our last night we found one in the bed. Pretty disturbing when checking out and using a flashlight to look for something that fell on the floor and saw a lot of very small roaches. Elevators also not working.

On the first morning of our two night stay around 11:30am, someone began trying to forcefully enter our room. After multiple attempts, the door lock finally ripped out of the door. When it opened, it was one of the managers LJ and a maintenance guy Jack. They NEVER knocked!!!! Rather they forcefully entered the room we were paying for scaring my wife and three minor children. SHAMEFUL!!!!

Disappointing stay at Spark by Hilton Oceanfront
Their website was very misleading, it showed there are microwaves in the room but there wasn’t any, showed they had a restaurant but they didn’t, only a continental breakfast if you can call it that. No lightning at the pool so no swimming at dark, but to me that was a hazard. We were to have a ocean view but because of the elevator not working they gave upgrades to some before we checked in, so others got the ocean view room.

Mikey and Sean at the front desk went above and beyond. Staff is so pleasant to deal with. Smile on their face the whole time. First room i checked into had an AC leak so i called down and Mikey literally met me at elevator to give me the new keys to the room next door. View was breathtaking.

This was an absolutely great hotel and the staffs customer service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again. We got upgraded to an ocean front view room to top it all off, everyone there was friendly and helpful top notch staff!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The building, like most in the area, is a little rough to look at from the outside but it is also up against the power of the ocean. We stayed in room 605. The room was clean, bug free and had an incredible view. The elevators were down the first night so we had to carry all our bags up 6 flights of stairs. I was offered a room on a lower floor but declined because it didn’t have the same view. The shower had good water pressure, the bed was comfortable, a little creaky on one side, the fridge kept our drinks and snacks cold. My cons and why I didn’t give all 5 stars- ice machines only on floor 5 and 7, with no elevators, my door took two people to open it and we had to battering ram style slam into it from the inside to get out, usually a couple good hard slams before it would open, the breakfast area was nice but only bagels and yogurt available. I would like to have seen some fruit or lower carb higher protein options available. Overall this was a great and affordable hotel with wonderfully helpful friendly customer service orientated staff. I will be back and I’m bringing friends! To the staff- thank you for making our stay so nice.
