"The house was exceptionally clean. The keyless entry was eady to use. There was a bedroom on the first floor which was wonderful as I have difficulty with stairs. All in all a very pleasant stay."

"We stayed with our adult son and 2 dogs over Thanksgiving week. The house was very cool, had a great layout, comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. On the down side, there was no heat in the bathrooms, the rain shower heads sprayed all over the place, the towels were more like blankets than towels (we went and purchased regular terry towels). The driveway is steep and would require 4-wheel drive in winter. We wanted to do some star gazing but there were so many outside lights...

"We stayed as we are in between houses and wanted to have a larger place to host and cook the holiday meal. I will say that the house could definitely use some updates and also a deep cleaning. Generally, it was comfortable and the views of the river are beautiful. The whole house was well stocked with just about anything we needed that we forgot to bring. I would have loved it more during warm weather but even during the winter, it was comfortable. "

"Great “base camp” for those who want to explore the national park and other area attractions but don’t like roughing it. Beautiful area and lots to see! The house was clean, kitchen had everything you might need, and the hot tub was relaxing in the evening!"

"First, Julie responded immediately to any need and was easy to reach. A few points on what this cabin is and is not. Access is easy, only the last 500' is gravel, no 4 wheel required. The neighborhood is not the best but being at the end of the lane and tree cover gives good privacy and screening. The cabin- a contemporary structure with a very rustic interior. "3 siblings and spouses wanted a great location for wine, food and proximity to DC for the blossom festival without the craziness of the DC area. The house was amazing. Nicely renovated with all the amenities. Quiet neighborhood and easy walk into Front Royal - for food, drinks and shopping. Our host was very accommodating and even though we had a small issue with the coffee pot, he treated us to coffee for the entire trip - thank you! Highly recommend and we will be back. "

"House was in a great location. Close to many wineries! Missing the love/care. Cleaning service needs to be replaced. Dog hair found on bedding & floors which got stirred up with ceiling fan on. Limited glassware. No hand soap, dish soap to be found which made washing dishes impossible. Other than that, the house was fine. "

"2nd time renting this little house near downtown Front Royal. It's super clean and tidy, has everything you need for an extended stay. Great launching point for day hikes in the Shenandoah National Park, visits to local wineries, 2 minutes from Main Street, and close to the interstate...and only an hour from DC! Recommend! "
