Rustic Lakefront Cabin in the Woods
Originally a treehouse nestled into the hundred year old cypress trees, the cozy SMALL cabin is ten steps from the shore of a deep 100 acre sandy bottom pristine spring fed ski lake. The main residence is at the front of the property which I share with my Golden and Sheltie. Other than being a text message away if you need anything, your vacation in the cabin will be very private and peaceful. Fall asleep listening to the hoot owls and wake up staring at the morning sunshine glistening on the water. Get your day started with a cup of coffee at the end of the boat dock before taking the canoe out for a leisurely trip across the lake. Nature photography? Bird watching? Ghost Stories around the firepit in the evening? Fishing? Playing fetch with your dog? Sun Worshiping on the floating dock? Maybe your favorite place will be the hammock! If you are looking for a place close to the theme parks, this isn't it. If you want a relaxing and unique experience away from the tourists and close to nature, the rustic cabin offers a comfortable queen bed, cozy loveseat, side chair, WiFi, Netflix, kitchen with fridge, microwave, dining area, full bathroom with hot shower and cold AC. This is not the Hilton. Please don't book if you are needing granite countertops, plush carpeting, brand new stainless steel appliances or a cabana boy. This is an old rustic cabin in the woods. If you have mobility or allergy issues or have special oxygen needs to breath, please do not book the cabin. Creeky and sloped floorboards. Chipped paint. Jasmine, gardenia, honeysuckle and pollen dust. Mulched and cobblestone path through the trees. Little lizards staring at you from atop the chiminea. I cannot emphasize enough that this cabin is not for everyone. If you enjoyed summer camp as a kid and want to relive those memories, you will enjoy my little piece of heaven.

It was a lovely stay! Beautiful views every morning and evening. That coupled with the serenity made this stay an absolute dream come true! 10/10 would recommend!
This little cabin made me feel like I was back home. It was close enough to all of the things I needed to do while still feeling like a cabin in a remote forest on the lake. It was just what I needed while I was away from home on business.
Very accurate listing. Not for everyone I am sure... but the location is amazing. Feels like you are a hundred miles from everything nearly in the city! Enjoyed my time greatly!

Lakefront cabin
The property was very rustic as advertised, but had a strong musty smell. The location was very lovely and peaceful, and the owner said she is making some improvements.
Loved this spot! Thank you for sharing with all of us. It is exactly as described in the listing - rustic and charming. Perfect quiet and calm space to relax after long days. I only wish I had scheduled more time to spend just at the cabin to enjoy all the extras that were provided! Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys time in nature.
We found the cabin to be as described ..loved the lake and the quietness at the cabin for the area. It is close to all amenities and a very busy area but you would never know it .Also very handy if you want a short(hour) drive over to the Cocoa Beach area .We enjoyed our stay as it is what we were looking for , just know that you are getting a "rustic" stay as described and enjoy what that has to offer.
Very relaxing, quiet and peaceful month spent at the cabin. Our 2 Labs loved the yard. We could open the door and allow them outside to chase the lizards and squirrels. They were safe in the fenced yard and we appreciate being allowed the entire run of the property. We enjoyed the canoes and kayaks. We saw an otter in the lake and a pair of nesting Sandhills cranes-nature at its finest! We might suggest replacing the outside cushions!
It’s all about the lake! Paddleboard, kayak canoe!
Host was very accommodating. When we asked about cushions for the kayaks, she ordered them from Amazon and had them delivered the next day. We spent lots of time on this beautiful 90 acre lake, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. In the two weeks we were visiting in early March we saw only 15 other water craft on the lake the entire time. We ate lunches and dinners in the boathouse/Screenhouse occasionally. We brought a crockpot and cooked all our meals in. Facilities were accurately described. Rent the cabin; live on the lake!
This is truly a rustic cabin. It's a charming area that was once part of a treehouse. The place was clean and had hot/cold shower, a nice sitting area with a TV (Netflix included). A comfy queen sized bed and a gorgeous view of the lake off of the back porch. Do note, the floors are sloped and the path to the cabin is not paved, so if you have mobility issues, this is most likely not the place for you. We didn't have time to use them, but kayaks and paddleboards are available to enjoy the lake. The owner met us on arrival. She is awesome! We didn't have any issues, but I feel like she would help you out without hesitation if you needed anything during your stay!
Our stay at the Rustic Lakefront Cabin was enjoyable. The description fit the cabin perfectly. I called to let Krys know that we were arriving shortly. The key was in the door and all pertinent info was in the cabin. The cabin was clean and bug free. It had everything we needed and more. We arrived two days after Hurricane Ian. The lake had risen some but my hubby was still able to fish, just not from the pier. Krys was delightful to meet and chat with. She offered us an extra day at no cost due to the weather! If you are looking for quiet spot to relax, this is the place! If you are looking for a fancy property, stay somewhere else!!!

Disappointed—no stovetop, lacking cleanliness
The owner communicated with me before my arrival and left a key in the door, for my late arrival, both of which I appreciated. (Thank you.) However, I purchased groceries assuming the place had a cooktop, but it didn’t. The owner makes clear in her description that the place is rustic, which is correct. In doing so, she should also make clear that there is no cooktop or stove and so no way to cook. Also, she should make clear that the place receives only a once-over before guests arrive. I don’t need granite countertops, but I do need cleanliness, and the place made me wheeze during my stay.
