Our condo had a great layout and the proximity to Disneyworld parks was excellent. Bus service to the parks is minimal, not many pick up and return times, so we drove ourselves. So glad we decided to rent a car. Kitchen is stocked ok but not enough to cook in without buying everything. We didn’t care because we only ate a morning sandwich and coffee there. It is difficult to find a restaurant unless you make reservations way in advance so another reason we appreciated our car. We were a little confused whether the room would be serviced daily since it seemed like a hotel but typically VRBO’s are not. Also, I asked if soap and shampoo were included and was told yes, but there were just small bottles like a hotel. Turns out daily service was not included and we had to ask for additional shampoo. Would be good if this was more clear in the listing.
Here’s the bad part - on the second to last day of our stay, a maid came into our room and threw out a lot of our groceries, took our alcohol including vermouth we brought from home in a small plastic bottle, rummaged through some clothes, piled up towels and put soap in the toilet. We filed with security and the next day we were told he/she accidentally started to clean the wrong room and left when they realized it. Really! Our stuff was everywhere so clearly we had not checked out and then why didn’t they tell their supervisor? Plus our garbage was overflowing, toilet not flushed and why wouldn’t they have given us fresh towels if they already piled them up? So we understand mistakes but this left us feeling violated! The worst part was not feeling like the property management cared. Since it was towards the end of our stay, we didn’t want to restock everything. The manager ended up giving us some coupons to use at their restaurant and sundries shop but we practically begged for some compensation! I also feel like they didn’t believe us on some of the things we said the maid did even though the security guard took pictures. Ended up ruining the last couple days for us. Feel like they could have handled this better.
