We had a great stay at this property. The location is lovely with all necessities near by. Access to the two additional pools in the community are also a great feature. Check in was simple. Some traffic scanning in and out of the community we noted on several occasions but this is more so an issue with the community I do believe. The backyard pool was nice. We opted not to heat it but found it to be quite warm. Perhaps given the warm November temperatures? Property was clean. But well loved. I think some new sheets & towels and a new Mattress topper for the king beds would go along way. As well as a few extra supplies , toilet paper , dish soap , garbage bags. All and all We would definitely stay again !

A+ loved everything about our stay
We had a wonderful stay at this super roomy, clean and well appointed rental home. Close to everywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood pool was a great perk. We will definitely rent here again for our next Disney trip. Thank you for an awesome week!

Iā€™ve stayed at storey lake multiple times and unfortunately this was my worst stay. The property managementā€™a communication was horrendous. Our flight landed early, we understood that we could not check in until 4 but were told we could use the amenities prior to check in but our host did not register us so we could not use any of the pools or clubhouses for over 2 hours until we could actually make contact with our host. When we got in and it was finally time to check in our host did not give us the door code or the WiFi code until 3.5 hours after our check in time and the code he did give us was wrong. There was trash left from the previous renter, the WiFi never works so donā€™t bother turning on the TV or connecting to it at all. They should also look into hiring a new cleaning company because it was cleaned terribly. All in all the place was ā€œfineā€ it worked for us and the pool was great but I probably wonā€™t be staying here again.

Everything was great. The accommodations are perfect for our family. The pool was a nice treat after walking the parks all day. Spent half a day at the big community pool floating in the lazy river before heading home. Perfect little get away!

Story Lake is a beautiful place. THIS RENTAL IS NOT! VRBO advertisement says this is a ā€œbrand new propertyā€ and is NOT true. It states that Deconova ā€œis devoted to serve our guest with the highest level of hosting services imaginableā€ and that is FALSE. The home was dirty, had an old carpet smell, one toilet seat was broken, a high chair that was staged in a closet was dirty with old food, carpet is stained, dirty floors and bed sheets were NOT clean with food crumbs and stains on the sheets and comforters upon arrival. The garbage can was filthy and the list continues. We wasted an entire day of our vacation trying to get the Deconova concierge service to agree to at least bring us clean sheets. THEY REFUSED. The concierge refused VRBOā€™s multiple requests after we sent emails with pictures of our complaints and spent hours on the phone trying to find some resolve. Deconova REFUSED to refund us our full 7 night stay so that we could go about our way and find something else, so we bought cleaning supplies to wash the dirty linen and properly sanitize and clean the home. We made every effort to find another home, however we chose to stay because the VRBO site was sold out in Orlando and Kissimmee. VRBO refunded us the $225 service fee as a ā€œcourtesyā€.In this Covid era, itā€™s disturbing to know that anyone would take short cuts to properly clean rentals that charges the renter a ā€œcleaningā€ fee.Its truly disgraceful, and unacceptable.Weā€™re very disappointed in the lack of service.

We were in town for Premiere (cosmetology conference). We truly enjoyed our stay. Pros: Private, screened in patio with pool Multiple, large bedrooms/bathrooms Large kitchen Plenty of dishes, silverware, cups, etc. Large dining room table Pool towels Managing company was very easy to communicate with Cons: Extremely hard beds Had to pay to use grill Pots and pans are very old and useless (had to buy our own - non-stick coating was coming off in our food) Not enough proper cooking utensils (had to buy our own) Dining room chandelier was filthy (caked in dust) Garbage behind/next to washer and dryer (chips, candy, cookie wrappers) Not enough seating in living room (states it sleeps 12, but living room only sat 4 people semi-comfortably) Overall, we did enjoy our stay. However, there are some things that need to be addressed and fixed.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful week at this property! Loved having two king beds! We chose to heat the back patio pool and it was a great decision and very warm - The kids swam in it all the time! There was a pack 'n Play and high chair we requested and they provided for free which was nice to not fly with those! Jose was easy to communicate with -there were a few minor problems with appliances but nothing that affected our stay. The resorts pools and lazy rivers are awesome! Would stay here again! All the beds were comfortable. The upstairs master bath and closet were big enough for a pack and play.

Overall we had a great vacation. Pros- Great location. Good/quick communication. Was able to get pack and play and high chair delivered for the stay. Cons- Needs a new cleaner badly, very dusty-overall not clean. Even with a HEPA filter I brought my daughterā€™s allergies and asthma was horrible. Needed to go to Walgreens at midnight and buy a new battery for the fire alarm that was chirping every 2 minutes. House itself is much smaller than it appears in photos and the pool area in the listing photos is not the one near the house (no splash pad or slides). Washing machine doesnā€™t work if you put more then 4 things in it- comes off balance and will not spin. Overall would not stay here again, even though the location and communication was great.

The property was in excellent condition and plenty big for the four of us. The house is well equipped and due to its excellent location we were able to pop to the local Target to stock up on the essentials needed for our stay...milk, bread, cereals, coffee & filters, cleaning materials etc. it was about a 15 minute drive to Disney and ideally located to access all of the main road links to get out and about. The club / pool area was very good and there are plenty of pavements around the property for going out for a stroll. The property management company were great and replied within 24 hrs to any of my emails. I would recommend this property and will be back in the future

The overall experience was good. It has no food, spices or anything in that nature you need for a stay. If you have kids that live to swim I would recommend to pay for the pool to be heated. It was like an ice bath when we arrived and took almost 24 hours to warm up to a swimmable temp. Overall the house was great!

The place was nice but owners definitely cheaped out and nickel and dime you. Towels were horrible. Bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths were bottom of the barrel cheapest things Iā€™ve ever used. So thin you can see through them and very abrasive. Not what you like to feel when youā€™re drying off after a hot shower. Also if you have a family of six or so and want to cook, better go buy your own pots and pans. No large pots , frying pans or sauce pans. All they have is one of each and theyā€™re probably 10ā€. We couldnā€™t use pots so we had some frozen family dinners we threw in the oven. Well of course we go to take food out of oven and no pot holders. How cheap can you really be to not buy pot holders. Tried to put a towel on towel rack on towel hook in upstairs master bath and towel rack fell on floor. Someone jammed paper towels in hole in wall to hold hook in place. Then the biggest complaint is Decanova Management. They did not respond to my email or voicemail I left the day we arrived. The downstairs master bedroom basically has zero air flow. Really hot and muggy in room the whole stay. No one ever emailed or called me back. The rest of condo was ice cold. Oh youā€™ll love this one. I wish I could attach pictures. There is a qr code on back patio for you to pay $50 to use the bbq grill. They will text you the combination to a padlock they have on the grill when you pay. You got it the grill is chained shut!!LOL! And the best part itā€™s a bottom of the barrel Char Broil!!

This townhouse was perfect for us. We used 2 of the community resort pools with water park , lazy river and pools. After a day at Sea World we all relaxed in the private pool at our house. Kitchen was well equipped. ( could use kitchen towels and a cookie sheetšŸ˜ƒ). We fixed all our meals so it was much more affordable. They provided high chair and pack n play which was great.. Something was wrong with the washer so we didnā€™t use it after the first time. I am sure the maid will report it. Fantastic get away.

Lacks attention to detail and property management needs improvement!
The first day we arrived, the keypad to the door did not work. I called property management and the guy was rude and said that no one would get to it that day, that we just needed to use the key. During our whole weekā€™s stay, no one came to fix it! Another day, I called about the pool being green, the guy said someone would be there the next morning to fix it. The next day, no one had come so I called them around 1:00pm and they said they would get someone over there. Still no one showed up so I called again at 4:45pm and demanded that someone show up. Finally someone showed up after 5:00pm. We were unable to use the pool for 2 days!! Food was splattered on the walls, trim, and side of the island. I deep cleaned the side of the island because it disgusted me so much! The kitchen table had a sticky square spot on it (most likely a price sticker), that I scrubbed clean. There was a blue stain on the living room rug. There were multiple gashes in the walls of the living room/kitchen. There were stains on the material of the bed on the main floor. There was a hole behind the master bath door because there was no doorstop and the one small towel hook they had was falling out of the wall! The stainless steel trashcans and lamps needed a thorough cleaning! One of the sinks in master bath would not drain. The light fixture above the kitchen table was covered with cobwebs and dust! The washer did not spin out the clothes very well and the dryer took forever to dry anything.

Good vacation base
Location is near commerce, and short drive to parks. Rooms are large and comfy beds and pillows. Pool is very helpful with big kids. Appliances are good, need to buy coffee filters for coffee machine and all condiments for cooking. Overall is a good place to stay with family.
