This is our sixth stay at Regal Palms and our most frustrating one. We traveled 16 hours, pulling a very small u-haul with our luggage for an 8 day stay. Check-in to Regal Palms was not until 4 pm. We arrived at 4:45 and were told that we were not allowed to bring the small u-haul to our condo. We tried to communicate to the clerks that it had our luggage in it, and that we would turn it in to the U-haul place first thing in the morning (all U-haul rentals in the area closed at 4 pm that day...Hurricane Ian hit two days previous), and we had nowhere to drop it. We were told that was not their problem, and that even though we had a two car driveway, we would not be allowed to park the small trailer in the other spot for 12 hours overnight. They told us that we would have to find a storage place that would allow us to rent a storage place to keep it overnight. We eventually (after 2.5 hours of calling places) found a rental place that would allow us to do an after hours drop of the trailer. But two days later, we were awakened at 6:45 am with people walking and stomping on the roof of our condo. Then our doorbell rang at 7 am with a man asking us to move our car from our driveway and park in the street (where we were told we were not allowed to park or we would be fined or towed!!). They were going to be removing and replacing the existing roof of our condo for the next two days!! Ummm....we then spent this entire day of our vacation getting passed around from the Regal Palms management, to the property host to the property owner, trying to talk to someone who could give us information on what we were supposed to do. We were, in essence, losing two more days of rest b/c a roofing company was slamming and hammering all day (for two FULL days) into the ceiling of our property. After at least 5 telephone calls between all the management people, we were finally refunded $200 to help offset our frustration. By day four, we were able to start enjoying our stay, but our anxiety and irritation was super high at this point. Good news for other people looking to book this property...this shouldn't happen to you in the future since roofs tend to last 10+ years. The condo itself was pretty nice with the exception of the water pressure and heat in the master bedroom upstairs seemed to have a restricter on it. Water was never as hot as the other bathroom shower, and the water pressure wasn't the same either.
