Great house on the creek! Hosts were very hospitable and great on communication. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely book with them again for our next trip to Oriental.
This house is fantastic. Pleanty of room, spacious bedrooms - nice kitchen - abundant parking. Also, it is a bit out of town, which means lots of space and quiet. We stayed there in January and didn’t get to do much outdoors- but the dock is wonderful and we saw many ducks on the water. I would highly recommend this house and will rent it again next year. Owner very attentive and quick to reply to questions.
The location and property are absolute peaceful perfection. The marsh view from inside as well as from the beautiful backyard full of tall longleaf pines won’t be found anywhere else. From plenty of room for boat/trailer parking to the awesome times around the fire pit, this VRBO stay was beyond our expectations. Very responsive and considerate hosts round out a perfect experience. Clean inside and out
House was as advertised, great location, felt very secure having our boat docked here for the week with it at the back of the creek. Only recommendation if bringing a boat to fish, bring 300ft of water hose and extension cords. Dock is very sturdy and easy to get in and out of but is a long distance from the house. Would definitely stay here again!
We spent 3 lovely nights here in this lovely cottage. It had everything we needed. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were able to dock our boat outside on the creek giving us easy access to fishing and fun. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful get away!
The house was great as was the yard. View from the dock is beautiful. Very convenient for heading into town but also secluded. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful home on Spicer Creek. Enjoyed the tranquility of this place and the screened porch. The host was very responsive and accommodating. When you need a break from the hustle & bustle this is a great place to unwind and recharge.
The home was as noted on the property listing. Enjoyed our stay and felt safe and secure in the area. The owners left a sweet welcome basket for us and we enjoyed that! They even had a Christmas tree up, since we booked for the holidays. Nice touches!
This is the nicest rental property we have ever stayed in! The house is immaculate, well furnished and so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need.
We spent a week at this location and enjoyed our time fishing and boating around the area. The house was clean and the check in process was very easy! Brooke, the host is very accommodating and was available to answer any questions. The creek leading to the dock was plenty deep enough for us to access it with a 25’ deep V and provided quick access for us to reach the sound for drum fishing. The only thing that would be a plus would be running water at the dock for cleaning the boat but otherwise the house and location was perfect!
This property was lovely! Very quiet area, with a cute dock leading right to the river. They have everything you could need for a lovely stay with family or friends! We enjoyed fishing from the dock and chatting in the screened porch. The house is very nicely decorated and has all the modern finishes you could ask for! You could spend your whole trip without ever leaving the property, and still feel like you had plenty of space to spread out, spend time together or apart, and never run out of things to do! We will definitely be recommending this property to anyone we know going to the area!
Super cute house and very clean. Spacious, in a remote location but only a few minutes from town. Prompt response from the owners, super friendly and attentive.
Wonderful property in a peaceful location. My parents, grandparents, and I were able to be close to my sister’s house and celebrate an early Christmas with her, her husband, and her daughter…the newest addition to the family! The house was spacious and allowed us to comfortably stay for 2 nights and host a family dinner. Excellent experience overall.
Gorgeous, clean home and property tucked away on a small creek. We brought our boat and were able to enjoy it everyday. We drove it to Oriental two days in a row. We loved the big property, it was plenty of room for the dog and kids to run around. Excellent access to fishing and wildlife. Highly recommend.
A beautiful space, thoughtfully decorated. We loved our time, enjoyed the kayaks and comfy beds and thoughtful gift basket. Responsive when had questions. Only thing is wish we had larger frying pan but we made do. Convenient location to spend time with our son in the Marines.
This was our first time to Oriental. Very quaint and beautiful town. The house was private and the view incredible. There was an issue with the AC not working when we arrived, but Brooke was such a great host. She had someone out the very next day to fix it. She always answered immediately if we had a question. The house is just as pictured and described. We loved just sitting on the dock with coffee or a glass of wine and had fun kayaking a couple of days. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet, laidback vacation.
We stayed at Wine, Cheese, and Breeze as a weekend trip for my birthday. The house was exactly as pictured, very spacious, perfectly clean. My dog loved running back and forth with all the space, and sniffing around the yard. All the TVs had roku set ups, the internet was good, the beds were comfy, etc. Our only issue was that the grill out on the deck didn't work, but we did reach out to the hosts and they were very responsive. My husband couldn't get it fixed, but we were on vacation, so he didn't want to try everything, which wasn't their fault at all.
Outside of that, it was a great stay. The view was gorgeous, and my husband had fun taking the kayak out on the water for a bit. We also really enjoyed just sitting on the porch, or down by the firepit. A great home, would love to stay again. (Also, when the house is lit from within at night, the windows attract tiny little frogs, which was very exciting for us, personally, haha!)
Our little getaway included my husband & myself, along w/ our 4 adult kids & daughter-n-law. We all needed a break & this home provided! When we first arrived, we were greeted by huge horseflies. But that was ok considering it comes w/ the location of the property & soon forgotten once we got inside. Beautiful home! And love the theme of the decor btw! Plenty of space for a family of 7. Spent our time fishing, kayaking, and playing board games, all amenities that were provided as part of the property. A nice disconnect from our busy lives, and we certainly enjoyed the stay! The property manager was very friendly, kept me in the loop all thru the process. Thank you Brooke for opening up your home to us!
