You are truly surrounded by thousands of acres of quiet beaches, streams, creeks, trails, lagoons, Redwoods, and the Pacific Ocean with infinite possibilities of outdoor fun. The Freshwater Lagoon is five miles south and features miles of dunes and a boat launch area for boaters and kayakers. You'll be just south of the National Redwood Park, which boasts camping sites, scenic hiking and biking trails, wildlife watching, and more! Fun annual events held locally include the Orick Rodeo which takes place in the summer, as well as the Yurok Tribe's Sumeg Village Day, a celebration of the local Native American culture held at nearby Patrick's Point State Park.

I thought that I reviewed my stay here, but I have ben prompted to review it (again?). This house is probably the best vacation rental I have rented. It is everything listed in the ad and more. super comfortable home, fantastic views, quiet private, outstanding furnishings - All Clad cookware!!, great dvd library, very good beds and other furniture. Did I mention the views? Pretty much all glass looking out toward the ocean from the house. SUper quiet location in Orick. My friend and I never stopped commenting what a great rental it is throughout our stay. And on top of what a great rental it it is, is a super great value. Plus there's a property manager who checks in to make sure that everything is great. Absolutely a 5 star rental

Close to parks which are amazing. Cute and comfortable house. Very clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Perfect for our group of 4. Recommend packing in your own food as the town of Orick has little to nothing to offer.

Amazing stay in Orick!

The house was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Clean, beautiful, gorgeous views, quiet setting, had everything we needed! Close to redwood hikes and beach! No restaurants in town so shop ahead. There is a small market to get some basics. Overall, loved it!

This place was perfect! Restful and peaceful atmosphere. We ended up just resting and enjoying the view all day, perfect end to our vacation. Beds were comfortable, house clean and comfortable to relax in…nice set up. Trinidad has great places to eat. Plan to come back for more hiking and beach exploring.

Beautiful stay on the coast

This home was such a beautiful place to stay. The electricity went out for a day of our stay(which seems to be something that needs to be anticipated), but we bought firewood and played games and it was so cozy. The view is so beautiful! I would most definitely go back to stay there!

Quiet and peaceful

This place is tucked up in the hills but the area was so peaceful. While there is an oceanview, it is really just to be seen from the property. We enjoyed the Trillium Falls trail and Lost Man's creek trail. It was a great, relaxing trip.

Quiet and no commotion

The home was clean with all the amenities necessary. The view from the house is amazing and the large windows were a big plus. The whole area was beautiful and there is a large beach nearby. This was a 5 star stay for my wife and I. PS. The nook where the bed is was a great place to sleep and look at the sky.

Favorite rental house of all time

This property exceeds the 5 star reviews you’ll see on Vrbo. We had an absolutely incredible time staying here during our trip to Redwood National Park. The views from the house are unbelievable and the place couldn’t have been cleaner. We will absolutely be coming back.

What a great week spent at this place near the Redwoods. It has everything you could need from a vacation rental. The location is great to take advantage of the Redwoods nearby. I really enjoyed the view from the place of the ocean, especially watching the fog rolling in.

Gateway to redwoods

This served as an excellent base camp for exploring the redwood parks in the area (only minutes from many great hikes). The house had everything we needed and was a great place to relax. The only negative (and it’s small) is that the road to the house is a little odd. It’s a single lane with no real option to get over if someone is coming the other way. Fortunately we never ran into an issue! The house was clean and you get great views of the ocean and sunset when there isn’t mist out at the beach. Having a washer and dryer is a huge relief after all that hiking. This place has so much natural light as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Redwoods Adventure!!

This property was nothing short of amazing!! The views alone rate this property 5+ stars. The house was clean and ready for our stay. When I needed to contact the host, I got a very quick response. The house is located in the heart of the Redwood National Park and all of the sites we wanted to visit were just a few minutes drive away.

Peaceful retreat

We loved our quiet stay at this lovely house with an ocean view! Great location for hikes in the Redwoods and coastal areas. We enjoyed the rabbits and quail wildlife in the mornings and evenings too! The house was well equipped with what we needed for cooking, making s’mores, and entertainment.
